Today in this video I will be giving my in depth 1 year later review on my experience with the Deco XE75 Pro as well as wifi 6e in general. I will be going over everything this includes and the add ons they push you to buy such as homesheild. As a content creator uploading videos constantly its vitally important to have great wifi when uploading and reseaching. But what about everyday usage? Gaming, huge crowds? I do all of those daily let me tell you the results. I'll also be teaching you about the difference between IPV4 Vs IPV6. The different security protocols this has WPA Encryptions.

Thanks for your review. It's really good to know that it offers a separate IoT SSID.

Also, your download is 500 Megabit, upload is 20 - you have these switched. These are restrictions set by your ISP and not related to the wifi.

Good review, the only thing I don't agree with is more than two nodes slows down your speed. I have four in my home and I'm paying for 900MB and the three wireless nodes are getting around 870MB.

Same results. No loss with 3 nodes all connected to an unmanaged backhauled gigaswitch. I get 800+ downloads with WiFi 6 or WiFi 5

Do you have thick walls ? I’m experiencing huge speed loss due to old thick walls and wondering if mesh can help ?

Thanks for this. Is there any reasons that connecting one of the Decos to a 2nd unmanaged gigabit switch wouldn’t work? (ISP->Deco1->switch1->switch2-Deco2). I’m troubleshooting and can’t get it to connect via Ethernet for wired backhaul. TIA.

Hi, I have got a router that I got from the provider and I want to use that to connect to the fibre. I will turn off the wifi on the provider router and use deco for the wifi. Do I have to do any specific settings on the deco? Thanks

What about coverage? Does it improve coverage? Or depends of which devices I have? I have devices with older wi fi. Will coverage from.this mesh is going to be better? Or these devices must have wi fi 6 aswell?

Just to be clear about Homeshield Pro, it will limit your network throughput to ~400Mbps because IPS/IDS requires a lot of processing overhead. I have a 1.2Gbps circuit so I had to go with my own solution (Opnsense on fast hardware).

I am using Tp link Deco M4 for the past 2 years. It suddenly stopped working. The main deco which is kept downstairs is working but the other 2 Decos on the top floor are not giving internet. The deco app shows no error. But the internet keeps on disconnecting every 5 to 10 seconds or it just stops. The wifi signal is there but no data on the top floor Decos. I have not changed the positions of the Decos. Have done nothing new. Why would this happen, what should i do ?

I have a question. i bought 2 pack for a deal but only need one node for now so i am using 1 node for now. i have noticed that my speeds are not consistent over wifi and the only way the speeds are kept as consistent as possible is that i put it on a daily reboot schedule. with that being said, when i am able to move into a bigger home where i will need 2 or more nodes, will the wifi speeds more consistent than opposed to 1 node?

how is the performance of this mesh? I've been using before the m5 and it was fine there are some days that the internet speed is getting slow or the nodes being disconnected even if we are having a video call for meetings it always dropping the signal.

Once you have the mesh set up does that mean that all your devices need to connect to the mesh? For example, my back yard security camera uses a very weak WiFi signal - so should I connect it to the mesh or does all your devices automatically use the mesh?
@Bundyman
@Bundyman 3 ай бұрын
If you set up your new router / mesh system using the same wifi name and password as your old one, all of your devices should just connect to the new mesh system using the closest node or point.

Usually you can look into business WiFi access point devices. I believe they need to be wired in for some but they’re good for big companies or larger areas

Something like this, amzn.to/48VicCy You’d need 4-5 of them make sure you get wifi 6/6e so you won’t have to upgrade for awhile. Also you’re gonna need a bunch of Ethernet cables, POE Ethernet hub also

Good job Eli on this review. Asking a general question, (sorry for my poor knowledge), planning to have a mesh network at home (3 node kit), correct me if I am wrong, this is how it works, the Router will be connected to Internet service provider's Router (I am in UK, I got Virgin Media 5G hub), and after set up, 2 Satellites to be placed at somewhere where it needed the most?
@TechReviewsTV
@TechReviewsTV 9 ай бұрын
Yup that’s correct 👍🏿 no worries for the questions I always welcome them. The nodes need to be all near the network to sync and then you can move them

I was holding my breath clicking on your video because I just bought this mesh network kit. I bought the 3 node kit so I'm hoping I can still get some decent speeds out of it. I'm glad you haven't had any issues with yours! I'm looking forward to getting mine this week. One thing I wanted to ask. You kept saying megabytes per second. I thought it was mega bits per second?
@TechReviewsTV

@411sponge72 hi there, hoes the 3 pack? I'm in the fence between 3 pack and 2 pack and the xe75 or the pro
@411sponge72
@411sponge72 8 ай бұрын
@@oggta absolutely love it! No dead areas even outside in my detached garage! Setup was very easy and my devices automatically connect to the nearest node so no slow downs even while I’m walking on my property! Well worth the money! I got the AXE400 Tri band 6E (XE75) so I didn’t get the pro version. The only reason I got the 3 pack is because I wanted a node out in my detached garage and 2 for my house so you could probably get away with just the 2 pack. Good news is that if you do need another node, you can purchase another one separately. However, it would be more expensive to buy additional ones at a later time.

I like TP-Link, but it sucks that you have to pay a subscription to get basic parental controls like having different times for "No internet" on weekdays and weekends. I guess that I can keep my old router as "main" and use 2-3 XE75s as access points. Or buy another brand.

Great system, except it doesn't allow Pi-hole to share the same subnet, and to add insult to injury, you can't turn DHCP off, so you can't let Pi-hole handle the DHCP. My pack is going back as soon as I contact Amazon, shame really.
