Just purchased my new Bernina 335 this month on 3/20/2022. I'm enjoying and learning from all the KZfaq Bernina tutorials. Love the tool for screwing in the sewing needle tightly - need to purchase that right away. Great to see the secrets to the decorative stitches and how you use different thread types and playing with the selected sewing machine feet.

I have a Bernette B38 and I think it is so much more options than her big Sister Bernina B 335.

Initials? In regular sewing mode? You just pick the initials and string them together instead of the decorative stitches. But we will consider this as a future topic for a video tutorial.

Do you not need to lock decorative stitches? You can’t reverse a decorative stitch, so if so, how is it done?

I do not lock them most of the time. But if you need to there is a not feature for decorative stitches. It looks like a pretzel.

Are you sewing without using the foot pedal? Can the 570 do that too?

All new BERNINAs have this feature. I do it in videos sometimes because the tripod for the camera is in my way of the foot control

@@BERNINAofNaperville Where do I find that in the manual?? I'm creating a stitch book and have osteoarthritis in my hips, so not having to hold my foot in the sewing position would be awesome.

@@moniquegroom2353 I don’t know but the sewing without a foot control is the start/stop button on the front of the machine. The same button that starts and stops embroidery.

perhaps you can help me. Years ago I bought a Bernina sewing machine and took the new owners class. In the class we learned a technique where we did a design and then cut out the material between the stitching lines. I can not remember what the technique was called. Please help.

@@BERNINAofNaperville thank you it was cutwork I hate when you know something but can’t think of the name. I have decided that is why I have a driver’s license so I can remember who I am. 🤪
