Welcome to your Day 1 Dedicate practice! This full length yoga session invites you to take the necessary time to drop in and focus on essential vocabulary that you will take with you for the whole 30 days. Set the tone for your journey as we DISCERN or recognize your reason for showing up.
The hardest part is showing up. This loving, informative and foundational practice will ease you in nicely.

With school stressing me out and a wish to get fitter, the 30 days challenge is just the perfect way to get back into my everyday practice with you! last year I managed to keep it up at the beginning of the year and all through summer and autumn but as soon as i drop the ball it gets hard to get back into the rhythm. Hope I can really do it this year, thank you Adriene for helping me!

I'm starting a journey to get back to myself and nature... Have more patience and love for myself, and others. I also want to get to my most well self, and yoga is a great way to center myself. Unfortunately with life and work, I stopped doing yoga a long time ago, but I've decided that I need to take time for myself and live in the present because tomorrow is unknown. So be mindful and present in the now, and that means taking time out to center and appreciate myself. So thank you for this series, and this journey. I think it's very fitting it is called Dedicate, because that's exactly what I'm doing this year, accepting and dedicating my time to myself in this life. Namaste.

I really want to let go of my perfectionism and step into self-compassion. Yoga Camp helped me through a deep depressive episode, now I'm in my last year of training as a mental health nurse and I want to make sure I get back to filling up my cup so I can pour into other people's generously. Today's mantra was 'I choose to love myself, warts and all'.

I have Bipolar 2 Disorder and I dedicate myself to YWA and Dedicate because it helps me deal with the rollercoaster that is called my life. And it helps me focus on loving myself (and others). Which, for me, life is all about. Thank you Adriene for dedicating yourself to all of us. You are a true blessing!! Namaste!

I needed this, i've been doing yoga on and off for a year and a half now and it's mostly thanks to this channel and to you, i struggle with being consistent with anything but i really enjoy doing yoga, it makes me feel alive and amazing

A year ago I was having severe ptsd, couldn't leave home, couldn't talk to people, i was anxious from every little voice around me, I was lost in my life and I've found your channel, for almost everyday since then i've found someone to tell me that I'm worth the love, my family never cared about much that happened to me, i was rolling my mat everyday and crying while doing yoga,since then I've found my passion in playing music, found a sick stray cat and took care for her and she's great now, her name is luna btw, went out in the world again, cured my ocds with mindfulness that you introduced me to, here l am In the new year still crying on my mat forever grateful for your existence.

I’m so grateful for you. The length was a bit challenging since my daily routine allows for 20 minutes then meditation and journaling but I still did it. Yay. ❤️

My Mom passed away on Day 2 - horrible day - upon returning home I got on the mat and made it through the practice feeling emotional, supported and grateful. Thank you Adriene.

Starting this after I finished "Home" - my next goal is 120 days of yoga. If I can do 30 days, I can do 120, and if I can do 120, I can keep this daily practice for life. Hopefully. Wish me luck guys! Namaste :)

Hope you made it and are still going, I do Monday to Friday every week, giving myself the permission to have breaks but still coming back, did day 1 of dedicate today as it is my day off, sometimes it is hard to get up, but it is always worth it when I do, hope Adrienne is continuing to enrich your days xx

Dear Adrienne, I love your style. It’s better than trauma-informed yoga sessions I’ve had in the past. I have cptsd and anxiety attacks and have always avoided doing yoga because it always triggers me, but your style is really loving, gentle & healing that I feel safe to allow whatever comes up. I wanted to write the same thing! Yesterday I was so motivated to start this yoga journey (, my first yoga journey) but when I saw the nearly 50 minutes it took me hours to actually motivate myself to get started. But I'm very happy (and even a bit proud) that I did it :)

I've never considered that others might feel as I do! Every time the practice is longer than 25 minutes I have to (mentally) whip myself to get on the mat... but when I finish that's also when I'm the most proud of myself :)

It's the 1st of April, my life is in shambles, I'm failing my classes at uni and feel incredibly incapable of completing my master's degree or doing anything remotely extraordinary in life. I find comfort in take out I can't afford and mindless switching between different social media platforms. I am starting a change. I'm committing myself to 30 days of dedicate.

Do you do this too? I note how many views there are when I start the practice and after I finish, I refresh the page and I see how many people did it with me! Within those 50 min, 14 906 people saw this :) So this was actually the biggest yoga class I ever attended from the privacy of my bedroom. Blessings to you Adriene from Poland

Hello friends from all over the world. I am so honoured that I can go on this journey with all of you that are on a different stage of life. Let's keep doing this together. I have had such rough past few years financially, physically, and mentally, as I lost my goal, had to leave my job, had to leave the country I had lived for 8 years due to unavoidable situation, and also got a lot of physical disorders/symptoms that require several medications, so I started feeling hopeless and deeply depressed, stopped physical activities, stopped doing yoga, stopped searching for a job, just chose to be stuck in my room for days without interacting with anybody, however, I choose to rise again, this year, 2019, I choose to be hopeful, I choose to tend to myself, thank you for helping me get out of my own pit shining my dark path Adrienne! Day 1 checked in! It feels so right and I feel so relieved and encouraged that there are lots of us walking on this yoga journey together!

just "completed" day 1. I have to say I wasn't able to do everything and I had to skip a few things and take breaks in between. But I tried my best and I am proud that I gave it a go ! See you tomorrow

I love how deceptively easy this practice appeared on the surface because, while the poses were fairly ‘basic,’ I was shocked at how much the intensity can increase when focusing more on the alignment and the breath simultaneously. I also found myself not checking the time throughout (which is a big thing for me because I can be quite an impatient person) but this also led me to focus more on the practice and I was SHAKING in all fours for the first time in my memory. Thank you Adriene. x

Yes, I find these "simple" practices where we hold the asanas for a long time way more difficult than the flows. It's humbling and good. : ) Also, I check the time!

Had the same experience, I was shaking in all fours and was kind of shocked because I never experience that. What happens when you pay close attention to alignment, breath, finger positions, core, neck... Amazing!

Totally agree, felt my patience was tested w/ the ease of the poses, but received a quick reality check when the shaking began as a result of aligning & breathing properly.

When I came up from the first forward fold, a thought instantly popped into my head, "I'm awake". I've been asleep for the past couple of months, not taking care of myself, my soul properly. I didn't even realise how tight my muscles had become until this practice, at the start they were almost pulsing and vibrating with tension. But now, the first inklings of release are occurring and I feel like myself again. Thank you, I can't wait for the next thirty days and beyond.

I started doing Yoga with you 2 years ago now, but this is my first time following the 30 days of Yoga live, and I'm so happy to do this. This year is a pretty special one for me, it's already my fourth month living abroad and only now I'm starting to get back to have a routine, to get back what was part of me and in between those things there is Yoga too. From the exact time I came to China I felt like there was no time to dedicate to myself, no space since I live in a little room with another person, no will to give myself a pause. But then I realized that rushing that much not to lose the time here, I was loosing me, my body, and my mind. And this is not right, you can not build anything if you don't have a strong base that keep you up. And so today I choose, I choose to get back to the origins, to me and to find what it feels good, because one hour is not that much, because even in a 5 meters of room you can find space if you want. So thank you as always Adriene, for being here, for what you do. Because even when I am 8000 kilometers away from "home", I can feel like home doing yoga, cause the real home is just when my mind is at ease and I am one with my body and mind. Namaste

This video is a blessing Adriene. I woke up about an hour ago from the most intense nightmares I have had in my entire life. I literally felt like I returned from war: shaking, panting and just baffled by the contents of the dreams. Thank god for your video -- it made this morning bearable. Even on 3 hours of sleep I feel I will be able to get somewhat through this day thanks to you. I receive a quote at eight o clock every morning (just now) which said: "Do something wonderful. People might imitate it", just as I was done imitating your yoga session. You are doing something wonderful for the world. Keep up the great work!

The quote is often a reminder of something I know inside to be true, but had forgotten at that moment, or it inspires me throughout the day... sometimes it affirms something I'm working on... I can totally recommend it. You can also browse the directory through the app, but for me I just like the daily quotes a lot. Hope it will be of service to you too :-)

@@bowtiesandcourage Probably we're just working through some old stuff to get all ready for the new year and the rest of our lives. I took a lovely nap this afternoon -- I put on some meditative music and my cat joined me like a sphinx, which all made me feel very safe and comfortable. It was relaxing and I feel so much better now. I'm glad you do too.

Here on March 1st after completing Breath and Home. 59 days of yoga in a row so far which is by far the most yoga that I've ever done in my entire life. Looking forward to continuing this journey through the Dedicate and hopefully Truth calendars! Thank you for helping me find my centre and my joy throughout these month long calendars. hi! may I ask, is there a specific order for these 30 day sets? I'm pretty new in yoga and still don't understand, which videos (apart from that says beginner) I can do, especially with these 30-day-challenges..any suggestion?

This is my 3rd year in a row speding January doing Yoga with Adriene. This year, I'm starting the journey during my 15th week of pregnancy! This year will truly be a journey for me both mentally and physically. I know I will have to pay attention even more to my body, and modify every day, but I'm excited to see my belly grow while the rest of me (including my mind) stays strong.

I've been travelling by train today for over 3 hours and I saw this video was up. Currently at my parents' place where I share a room, so I wanted to skip this day since I can't be alone in the room in order to practice, but then I thought that I'll be here for several days, so I can't just skip all of them if I want to follow through with this yoga journey. SO I DID IT WITH PEOPLE IN THE ROOM! Which may not sound like much, but for me it's a major anxiety trigger. Obviously I wasn't 100% focused or relaxed. but hey, I'll take it as part of the practice. :) Learning to accept that which I cannot change and stick to my practice/journey. Thank you, Adriene!

This was my first ever Yoga experience. No mat, no outfit, just sitting on the floor trying to understand what you were doing. I have to say, I liked it and did better than I thought I would. I'm going to continue to try this for the 30 days, but I did order a mat online already, that needed to change fast. Thank you for doing this, I hope it gets me a little more strength and some calm in this world.

Today is my 80 day in a row doing yoga (started with the quarantine) and after finishing HOME 20 days ago, today I felt like starting Dedicate. And guess what? I had big argument with my mom and as I was driving back home i've thought "I'm so relieved I'm gona get home to the yoga mat". I'm so happy that my mind associates yoga with self care!! Wow this just whizzed by! at first I felt myself get frustrated with the pace but then let go and focused on the detail and before I knew it we were at Namaste... I had forgotten how much doing yoga gives me, it clears my mind, makes me breathe better and gives me true headspace to focus on me and me alone. Thank you Adriene, I am so lucky to be doing this again and along with so many other wonderful people in the world. Love xx

Starting Dedicate after joining YWA community to do Home in May. I've been inspired by the sharing in the comments and the building of community there, so I wanted to share myself. Today is my 32nd birthday and although I am safe and well, I am feeling for the many injustices of the world right now, leaving me more sorrowful this birthday. It is okay to feel sorrow on my birthday. For Home I focused on reconnecting with my physical body after feeling that I had mainly used it as a vehicle for at least the last decade rather than upholding it as the beautiful instrument that it is. For Dedicate I am intending to love myself. This is partially in response to struggling to find lasting, connected, loving friendships in adulthood. It seems that I am not able to womanifest such friendships, so maybe I need to take that bounding love and desire I have been trying to share with others and direct it inward. Thank you for holding me accountable everyone, as I know that you will. Sending you love, light, and warmth, and hoping you each feel the freedom to love yourself. In a society that often activates us into fear to weaken our collective power and profiteers off of our doubt, loving oneself feels like a radical act that will bring healing. All my birthday wishes are for peace.

This transformed me seriously, I wish I could explain to you how this practice moved my body, I genuinely felt alive, like I could feel the blood in my body and all the releases in my shoulder, I was so shocked by how good I felt, I had been in a rut and not wanting to do anything for weeks and this brought this feeling of contentment and just being okay, fkkkk thank you so frickin much I’m about to cry from how grateful I feel

I have a beautiful request. In the future it would be so amazing to have music at the end of the video for about 5 minutes for shavasana. Even 10 minutes. Chime in YWA community if you agree! This practice was so great. I finally felt my fingers "claw" and support me. the lyrics "it all starts to make sense" from Nahko and MFTP came to mind. Then at the end you said "something brought you here." Yes. Funny, you remind me so much of him actually. In sense of humor and calming energies. After two and a half years doing yoga with you Adrienne, it feels like my body is really awakening more and more. Mahalo.Namaste.

I totally agree! I find that is the one thing missing from these videos: time for shavasana (this one was a good length though). I also find it difficult to "claw" my finger tips, and it doesnt seem to help with my wrist pain. I found it most helpful when she actually said to press into the knuckles!

@@louisegreen9312 Yes the idea of "claw" never sunk in, but I am able now to use my fingers rather than my wrists. I had wrist pain for a long time, until I stopped waitressing! Thanks for agreeing. I love shavasana but I will be distracted when the class is over and I will get up. I usually have a shavasana que up on my playlist. Have an awesome day!

While I think this would be very nice, I think the reason she keeps them short at the end is so that her videos are watched until the end by most viewers. This helps her videos stay favoured by the KZfaq algorithm, so that her videos get suggested to other people on KZfaq in the side bar. I agree though, a longer shavasana would be nice :) I'm just not sure everyone would sit through it.

I am sick as a dog with the worst cold right now, but I still wanted to partake so I mostly just did the breathing, sitting, and laying down portions. Can't wait until I am feeling better to do more! It was nice even just to get out of bed and relieve some of that stiffness. My reason for dedicating this time to myself is that I don't dedicate much time to myself. Moments that I do have that aren't filled with work, sleep, or chores are usually spent stressing about work, car problems, finances, kids, pets, etc. This is a moment each day that is for me and me only :)

I have never done yoga but I found myself smiling two minutes in. I have been severely ill mentally and have struggled to do the simplicitys of life but I saw a comment about the classes so I decided to check them out. I was less than grateful but I feel more alive than I have in a while and I am excited for tomorrow's class.

What a great way of showing up for yourself and doing the best you can in managing a live that has dealt you some big struggles. Just wanted to let you know that I have witnessed yoga (especially the clam one that Adriene does) change mental illness and living with mental illness so much for the better. I don't want to promise you anything but I hope you are still keeping up with the yoga practices and I wanted to let you know that even surviving a day is something one can be proud of! Managing mental illness is hard and often a up and down. Just know if one day feels worse than the other, this too shall pass! Wishing you the best on your journey!

I did Breath in January, I skipped a month, and now I'm here again. This is my second 30 day yoga journey. I started this today, because today is the 1st of March. Spring is important to me, this is my favorite month, and as the nature comes to life, so do I. The weather is perfect, I love the birds, the flowers, so I am more motivated to improve myself. And also my birthday is in March. I'm happy I'm here again🥰🥰 (Btw sorry for my English, still learning this language)

During the last two weeks I've practiced yoga and meditated on my bed for 5 minutes per day because I am very busy. And I wasn't satisfied with that, but I preferred doing a soft and short practice, instead of doing nothing. Today is day 109 of yoga and I'm so excited for this new journey. Today's practice was so good for my body and mind, especially for my spine. I can't wait to see what this journey will bring me! See you tomorrow, Namaste🙏🏻

Heyo! As I can see from the comments, I'm not the only one who came here right after finishing Home! As you always say Adriene, it's always amazing to realize that so many people around the world are embarking on this beautiful journey. Was planning to only do Day 0 today, but as I was telling you, I was way too tempted, and did not want to break the cycle, so here I am! Home has made me more thoughtful, mindful of my body, mind, and soul working in unison, has helped my relationships - basically made me a better version of myself. Thank you for having all this content up on YT, it's another exemplary gesture from the sweet and thoughtful guide that you are. We are all stronger as a collective. I am holding on to my intent from Day 2 of Home - improving my self-discipline, and adding another layer to it. I want to dedicate the next 30 days to improving my physical, and mental fitness even further. Good luck to everyone embarking on this journey as well. The light in me, bows down to the light in you. More power to you! Adriene, a question - Should I continue with Dedicate? Or should I visit True, the 30 day journey you mentioned in the intro before this? I decided it start to Dedicate today, following Breath and then Bridge taking me through the year so far. It's a hard thing to put into words, but I genuinely am feeling the strength/magic(!!) that's growing inside, just from dedicating some time each day to listen to the breath, and trusting in the journey. So glad I'm not the only one! I usually stress myself out trying to do them on the set dates but I think I can realax and take my time with it now.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on my mat and honestly it was difficult. I felt myself getting discouraged at times but I adjusted and pressed on. Today’s practice ended better than it started and I know every day that will be the case as long as I show up. Thank you, Adriene, for your heart to bring humanity (and furbabies) together for a good mind, body and soul experience. Namaste 🙏🏻

The past 7 weeks I have been dealing with the stress of finishing the first semester of my masters. With that I noticed the time on my mat was becoming less and less. As my time on the mat became less my stress level increased. Today I had a melt down and felt like things were impossible. Then I remembered that today was the beginning of the 30day challenge. It gave me something to look forward to. Now that I have finished the first day I feel that this is going to bring my life back to a positive momentum. Thank you Adriene for this. It was highly needed

I may be starting this 6 months ‘late’, but I’m so excited to finally dedicate time to try and do daily yoga! After 2 years of intensive school work and exam preparation, I am glad to be able to give myself the challenge of fully dedicating up to an hour to myself each day - even followed by some journaling if I have time!!

I startedlate but I started!!! 🤗 I am dedicating this to myself. Not a New year's resolution but a promise to ME to make a better me. The pain and weakness in my back and legs have gotten to the point where my energy and self worth have been affected. Starting today! Seeking more peace in my mind & relief from the anxiety spirals - as well as less pain in my body. Thinking a lot about movement as nourishment, about moving in ways that feel good - rather than to "get in shape". Also thinking a lot about being present, and being in my body. I've started following your channel from June last year when I found the thirty day yoga journey 2018. I completed the journey and never in my entire life have I felt so calm and peaceful as I do every time I do the yoga routines or meditation practices. Since then I've tried my best to continue doing yoga following your channel. You've changed my life for good. I know you might have heard this a million times but you are the most beautiful soul and you're helping people find themselves or atleast for me you've. Last year at the same time I didn't know what I was doing I didn't know who I was, I was lost, I was just a college student, not feeling anything but now after a year I feel like my life has changed. My life has changed for good and this yoga journey with you is the biggest reason for that and I can't be grateful enough. Before finding your channel my parents used to force me to meditate or do yoga now I feel restless if I do them at least once a day. I can't be thankful enough that I found your channel and followed the journey with you and this beautiful community. Day 1 on February 27th because why not? I was going to wait until March 1st but I was too excited! This practice was amazing! Especially after a super stressful day at work. I was so anxious and in a bad mood. About 10 minutes in to the video, I caught myself smiling, relaxing, and not thinking about work anymore. Thank you Adriene! You saved my day once again!
