Whaddup Friends! Today I am taking you along while I declutter and deep clean my entire house! Hopefully, this video gives you some major cleaning and decluttering motivation! In it, I talk about minimalism as a lifestyle instead of an aesthetic and how I feel about "maintenance declutters".

You are very wise to know about living well with less.I am 67 and jyst learned about minimalism and decluttering 10 years ago. I wish I had adopted this lifestyle when I was homeschooling my 6 kids.People used to come into our house and say they would have expected more toys for 6 kids, they dudn't do without toys , they just had fewer toys than alit of friends. We did have lits of books and music cds abd cassettes and I even enjoyed reading to my children even after they learned to read, it was a very special time. You are such aninspiration

You inspired me to declutter my wardrobe ,living in Maine we do need a few more clothing items ,but not excess, I also brought some quilts to a clothing bank where there is no money exchanged. I was so blessed to see a man who found one of the quilts ,he hugged it ,it brought tears to my eyes, we have so much that we can share with others

You are amazing, thanks for the inspiration you bring, watch your videos often. What you talk about resonates so deeply, I have never heard anyone speak up against this pressure of the modern times. Im a mum of two small kids and work as a nurse and have felt much of the time overwhelmed by the house clutter. Thanks for all your Uplifting advice 😍 💕💕 your so amazing

Would love a video about your journey both physically and mentally to minimalism. I want to do it so bad, but I’m afraid. Is your husband minimalist too? I’d like to hear all about how your family went from “maximalist to minimalist” 😊 Also, already commented this, but I’d like a video about how much you keep outside of your 10 item wardrobe and how you store it. I’m not sure what’s appropriate to have for other seasons. I read the book you recommended and since I have a shopping problem I think I should give it a go. Love your channel and beautiful family. Really enjoy all your videos! You have inspired me so much when it comes to minimalism. I also am a mother and we eat mostly plant based but am striving to be completely vegan. Would love to see more videos about your meals and on what your kiddos love to eat!

Oh good you scrub walls too. People always look at me funny when I mention I have to wash my walls... All your plants are beautiful. I agree decluttering never ends. Things change over time so you may make purchases for those situations (such as when kids outgrow things or things break and you replace them). I love that I am still decluttering after all these years but then I go, "When did I accumulate more to get to where I have enough to get rid of?" It is so nice to not WANT things. I do have a small WANT list, but it is a need-want list, not a want just to have list.

Did this exact thing a few years ago. I don’t miss the big house. We love living small. The key is not allowing clutter to creep back in, it’s hard and it’s an on going lesson that I’m still learning.

I just decluttered my space and I can’t wait to get to where it’s so much less than what I have now. I have been trying to work to a more minimal life for 2 years now! It def takes time. I had SOOOOO MUCH STUFF and it still seems like I have a lot. But it’s def a process and I’m proud of where I’m at. I declutter every 2 months pretty much! Also where is your green sweater set from? Can u link it? It’s ADORABLE!

My kids are pushing 30. I’m down to one sentimental baby outfit each :). They might wish I had more, not sure. They’re more concerned about their High School Grad books 😂

A lovely video. Thank you. I am motivated to declutter more. Today. Maddie, do you colour your hair? I am thinking to grow mine out and let the sunshine to its magic with the highlights so I don’t have to bother going to hairdressers anymore, the issue is the old highlights go yellowish arrrr

Hey Aleks! Thank you! I color my hair myself actually but I think mostly the sun does the work. I tone it with a purple shampoo bar from Ethique. Hope that helps a bit!

The absolutely hardest for me is my daughters creatings she have done. I cant throw it away. She is an artist. And very productive lol. She is 6 years now. I have folders from each years. But also i get happy having them up in the apartment to look at but also a little tired of too many impressions. What do you do with the childrens pictures they draw??
