There’s another theory that Lovesick Girls is a song about suicide. Jennie died bc of a car accident after they broke up. Lisa jumped out of the building after a break up also. Rosé drowned herself after that tragic heart break also. Then Jisoo was the about to save them all but it was too late you can see her first part where she was holding a broken hourglass, but the pink sand in it was flowing in reverse she wanted to go back in time where she could’ve saved them all 3. Lisa is the main dancer and has been dancing ever since her childhood. She was even in a competitive dance group as a kid which is one of the reasons why she is so good. Rosé is the lead dancer and was in a cheerleading team when she was younger. She only really started dancing seriously when she became a trainee and is now one of the best lead dancers in kpop.

So here's my take on Lovesick Girls hehe. Jennie, Lisa and Rosé show 3 types of breakups. Jennie's one is the messy breakup. Relationship gone wrong and ends on such a bad note that she goes mad. Like in the rap scene she's in a nursing room and she's with a teddy bear. Here's is the breakup that leaves you on a bad mental area where you go numb. Lisa's breakup is the gradual one where you lose interest, lose touch, lose connection slowly and yet you don't want to breakup because change is scary. The lines she says in her first verse that "we can't end it even if it's over" because the relationship is familiar and you don't want to leave it because you don't know what awaits you. But that breakup makes them repel relationships and want to be only alone. Rosé's breakup is the saddest. Where a person is so emotionally invested that breakup breaks them apart so bad they can't repair. They drown in grief (black ink). They slide into self destruction. Like we see in the bathtub scene and even in the second pre chorus. It was a healthy relationship yet they breakup and she cannot take it. There's also another theory that says that Jisoo isn't talking about romantic relationships. In the MV jisoo is the only one who doesn't have a scene with a guy. So the theory says that Jennie, Lisa, Rosé are her friends and Jisoo is trying to save them from their grief. Because in her scene she talks about running out of time and how anxious she is. Which can be pertained to her being worried for them.

While that may seem flattering, haters saw it as her getting special treatment, getting the more expensive outfits, and being favored by the label. Toxic people started calling BLACKPINK "Jennie and friends" because of how Jennie was always crafted to be the center, when in fact that's not true. BLACKPINK has no leader, and the thing that makes them stand out is because they ALL have something to add to the group and while they have their own strengths, they compliment each other very well. I'd say that's why BLACKPINK is a very well-rounded group. Haters may say they don't deserve their fame, but they can't say the girls are totally "talentless".

Lovesick Girls MV Theory: The story starts with three best friends who spent all their lives together. They loved each other so much and formed such a strong bond that, as a result of their incredibly strong friendship, a being that signified their friendship was born. That being was Jisoo. They created so many great memories as they were always together. Both Lisa and Rosé were perfectly fine mentally, but Jennie had a history of mental health issues that made her insecure and impulsive at times. Jisoo kept building their bond and making them inseparable as that was her one mission. Then, Jennie, Lisa and Rosé started dating Loren. They didnt know anything about the other dating Loren until Rosé found out first, prompting a heated argument between her and Loren in which she destroys a painting he made for her. After this heated argument, Rosé told Lisa and Jennie about their cheating boyfriend, Loren. Lisa had an outburst and destroyed Loren's car. Loren, being left with no way to go back home, buys flowers and calls Jennie, apologizing for everything. Due to how impulsive and insecure Jennie is, she becomes infuriated and fights with Loren, prompting an argument that ends up killing them both. After this incident occurs, Jisoo feels both Rosé and Lisa's extreme sadness due to the loss of those they genuinely cared about and she wishes to turn back time but can't. (Hence why the sand isn't pouring out but rather going back inside the hourglass) Lisa goes into a deep depression. She ends up going to the rooftop where she was with Loren last to reminisce about her times with Jennie and her now former lover Loren. She then starts to think about taking her life as she lost people she really loved and wished to join them. Jisoo, being emotionally connected to Lisa, feels that Lisa wants to take her life and so she runs toward Lisa to stop her from taking her life but, due to timing, she's unsuccessful and Lisa jumps, losing her life. With the loss of Loren, Lisa, and Jennie, Rosé becomes extremely depressed. A depression that eats her heart away. With none of the people she cares about living, Rosie goes into her bathtub and drowns herself. As Rosé was the last person from the group of friends that kept Jisoo living, the way Rosé died was the same way Jisoo died, drowning. Now that all four of them perished, they meet up in the afterlife and live happier lives, though in the end they are still looking for love. Thank you so much if you read this far. I hope my theory goes over well with other BLINK even if it is extremely sad.

Jisoo is the only one without a man. Love hurt her friends. Lisa: Loved her partner so much that after they broke up, she jumped off the rooftop. There's something written on her hammer for more evidence but i forgot it lol Jennie: Jennie and her partner were in an unhealthy toxic relationship so she decided to seek medical help but it wasn't working. Her partner brought her flowers in the car and she went hysterical and had a fight with them, resulting to the car crash Rosé: Rosé tried to keep her relationship alive by continously doing activities with their common interests. It wasn't enough because they broke up. She eventually fell into a deep depression and drowns herself in the bathtub. There's also a slight stain of blood on her cheek. Jisoo: Jisoo couldn't bear the death of her friends. She was in denial about everything that has happened. All the scenes where the girls are together was just her memories. Her scene where she was in a flower field were her dreams of being happy and at peace. The hourglass means that she wishes she had more time to help the girls. She eventually couldn't take it anymore and drowns herself, feeling no emotion. Nothing. Ending: either its a flashback or a memory of when they were all together or its the afterlife where they all found eachother again and are happy.

there's alot of symbolisms/interpretation in lovesick girls, but as the members describe it; it's a song for those people who suffered alot of breakups the happy and sadness of it, even if they end up badly; they still gain some happy moments and experiences that made them stronger (with their lover/friends) so in summary; It's actually an empowerment song to not lose hope on love, to find the love that you deserve and along the journey you'll endure so much pain, but it'll be worth it; true friends have your back the reason why some of it was confusing cuz they showed the possible play on words as Lovesick = u're so in love it makes u insane😍🤡 and Love-sick= as in sick of love 🤢💀 basically portraying a cycle for not giving up on love

"they don't release like a usual kpop schedule" SAD TO SAY YES but actually last year was better because they released 3 mv's with a full album because usually they only have 1 comeback once a year. It sucks that BP has only 28 songs in total in their 5 years in the industry. I just wish they could have release more because these girls are so talented and they need to show it more often. "Quality over Quantity" is not a flex anymore in their 5 years career especially that they're on top right now and currently the biggest GG in the world, their company should grab the opportunity because we know they can do so much better i just hope YG would let them to show off their talent.
