had to buy 4 Range Viper for $55 each and I’m very thankful that someone on Etsy has a 3d print of the Range Viper head. Started collecting Classified since they release the Techno Viper which caught my interest in army building.

You are correct about Dr Mindbender he had a black cape and big silver cobra logo in the middle of it. Loved the old school figure, still trying to convince myself to buy the classified one.

I also started collecting the Classified line from the very beginning #00. And I would have never guessed that the line would be this far within 4.5 years. I love it!

I hope Hasbro repaints the Crimson Baroness to give us a proper Classic look for her. I also wouldn’t mind a blue version, or G1 Chameleon for that matter

Good overview. Classified got me back into Joe for the first time since I was a teen and gave my collection to my cousin. My method is to get one of every character, but not every figure (e.g. one Baroness, one Copperhead) though I have made some exceptions (e.g. regular and PD Destro which I switch out periodically) and have done a bit of Army building (Vipers and CGs that surround CoCo).

Awesome line up. I have most of these, except for the HISS which I failed to get :(. And the two other Classified Cobra Commanders. I am like you in that I mildly army build. Minimum 2 or 3 with a leader/officer. One thing that gets overlooked, is that Storm Shadow (classic version) and the original Cobra Officer both have an extra set of articulation over all other classified figures to date. They both have forearm swivel. At some point they must have felt like it was too much cost and cut that feature out. :( Then one other odditiy. If ever I could ask Lenny a question, I would ask WHY.....oh WHY....with the legion of tooled parts and their penchant for reuse.....have they NEVER reused the Cobra Officer torso. Why? Even when they re-painted Python Patrol or 788 Fire team or even the Stinger driver.....the original Officer torso is absent. It has the rank on it -____-. I wonder if it was lost or damaged somehow.

They didn't use the Crimson Baroness arms on the Retro one because the Retro one came out first, and so those arms didn't exist yet. The Crimson Baroness head won't work on any of the other figures because the peg hole is much smaller, unfortunately.

I agree with you on the dreadnok issue. Thats probably about as close to the original as you can get

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but you should be able to hand wash most of the dye that’s transferring to the plastic out of the cape.

The water moccasin will probably come with a pythonized lampreys.

Dr. Mindbenders cape was purple and there was no Cobra symbol on it. Unless it was really early or late.

I hate that they made the glasses removable on so many of the Dreadnoks.

The crimson baroness head does not fit on the baroness’. I had to take a neck from the Cobra Valkyrie. Also had to paint it

NOTE: Range Viper was a Wal-Mart exclusive, which is worse than Target exclusives because Wal-Mart doesn’t even stock GI Joe Classified in stores, and they have very low stock online. Range Vipers sold out online very fast, and have basically been $50+ for some time now. Shame for another troop builder to go the way of the Cobra Island Trooper years later. Didn’t they learn their lesson?

Vypra is not an exact repaint she has different feet and arms. No the good guy ninja force “arctic” storm shadow has no cobra logos on him. And never should have had a cobra sigil in his packaging.
