I can see how all four of these healthy habits would benefit me to some degree, but it's interesting how the 'medicine' that I know would be most healing (Excitement) is the one that I've neglected to take the most over the past decade. It used to be easy to follow that Excitement when I was a teenager. I had next to no money back then to buy clothes, but I had my mother's sewing machine and a thrifty, artistic spirit. Then I became an adult and lost my way, lost my connection to my inner self and my creativity. I did eventually reach out to several stylists for guidance, and while most of their advice was helpful, not all of it was. "You're soft-spoken so you shouldn't wear anything too edgy or experimental." "You have a youthful face so you should always dress modestly." "You work with children so you should dress like this fictional character who works with children." This advice immediately didn't feel right, and some of it even pissed me off, but I still tried to follow it for a few years because I was willing to try anything at that point to get out of the style rut I was in. It only made things worse. I looked better, but I didn't feel better. There was more visual harmony, but less emotional harmony. Rita, your approach has helped me to rediscover what I loved so much about style when I was younger: excitement, creativity, sensuality, risk-taking, and most of all, self-expression. Not only have I embraced myself and my creative needs, but I can better appreciate the different approaches of others without needing to envy them. Even before I knew about the Style Keys, I used to look at the "Cool Girls" and the "Sweethearts" and the "Playful Dames" around me and wonder why I didn't have what they have. I tried to be like them. Tried to look more approachable, more understated, more sweet, more dreamy... all these wonderful qualities that I admired. But all I ended up doing was hiding my glamour, my mystery, my sensuality, my unconventionality. I was so blinded by what I felt I lacked that I couldn't see all that I had in abundance. But I see it now! I see me and I don't need to be anybody else!

Yes, Luxuryyy I put on my nice purple dress, even though I will wear it only an hour before bedtime. You guys had to see how my posture changed and how smiley I got. Did some belly dance moves and intricate hands in front of the mirror too haha Such a pleasure to be alive

Indulgence for me is allowing myself to buy colorful converse when I am an adult... to take the time to do my makeup on a day when i stay home, but also not to do my makeup when I go out (according to my mood and desires rather than the situation).. Allowing myself to wear things because I love the way they make me feel rather than wearing what "I should be wearing"... Allowing myself to wear dark light and bright colors all in one outfit :) Allowing myself to avoid polyester in many cases and pants without stretch... I could go on and on haha but yes shoes are the major thing for me. I thought I had to wear the most boring white and grey minimal shoes, but now I gave myself permission to wear shoes that make me happy

Thank you! I taught I was a natural (kibbe) for a long time…or just a 164 cm tall FN 🤣…now I know I’m a Flamboyant Gamine and I do have some FG clothing ( most for partying) I love Natural style and I switch between those styles. Even though Natural lines draw me down 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t care. And color wise I’m a bright spring…I just use earthy colors in the bright spring palette…thinking I was a soft autumn all my life 🤣🤣🤣🥳🥳

This guidance was so good, Rita. I have self-typed in the Amethyst quadrant, but felt like the Sapphire applied way more to me. I think it's time to invest in a simple guidance consult.

I relate to the Amethyst key, and i am still not very far on the way of exploring the excitement of expressing the internal… however the “medicine of luxury” was a huge help for me on the way so far! Now on to exploring a new level 😅

It seems to me that my style problems were related to the problems of LD and RU, but what I noticed was that the main of these problems was still shame, while I had less problems forbidding myself something, because " not worthy." In terms of if I wanted something new, I took it and tried it. I didn't feel like I wasn't worthy (except for the weight loss topic), rather I felt how appropriate it was in relation to acquaintances, and whether it was too open (my body does not fit this outfit, or too sexy), should I wear practically something invisible on myself, so as not to be afraid to dress brighter than the birthday girl, as she loves super casual looks. Whereas the topic of luxury for me sounds more like "I never tried it because I didn't think that I want it, but now I would like to try it.” That is, there are no problems, no struggle. For me, this is a big discovery. And literally the central problem in style. In terms of, I thought, well, since I deny myself everything, can it be the Moonstone, this is this topic. But I misunderstood the theme. I don’t deny myself because it’s not my aesthetic and I don’t have to try new things to achieve perfection, I refuse because I am ashamed. Many people close to me told me that I should be myself and not worry, but I thought that this was not enough. But maybe that's the problem, and I'm just turning away from it? Maybe. At some point, I created an outfit in which the central point, the only accent was a large chain. This made the outfit appropriate for the holiday situation. But I was embarrassed that everyone came to the holiday super casual, I thought that this chain was too flashy, although everything else was an extremely inconspicuous black canvas. But I took it off. I took it off because I was ashamed to be fashionable against the background of people in jeans, although there was nothing super special in that outfit, just actual things, everything they covered my body like a canvas. But I was so ashamed that I took it off while taking off my outer clothing from the street so that no one would notice and see me in it. And in general, "indulgence" sounds to me the most helpful of these words, because I feel it gives me the most opportunities than the words of other quadrants.

I initially thought I was a Ruby but when I started to think about it more I realized one of the most important things to me is having a personal brand and that concept is definitely more external facing. That’s when I realized I’m probably more likely an Amethyst. I’m definitely not in either of the right quadrants because, for my style, emotion will always outweigh logic. For example, I know my color season is spring and I know black is not allowed for springs. But I love the way I feel about myself when I wear black so I still wear it even though it goes against the recommendations in that system. If a style system doesn’t make me feel happy and excited to get dressed everyday I’ll completely disregard it.

1) you look fantastic in those colors. 2) I fall in the Sapphire quadrant, and I saw myself in everything you mentioned. I’m learning to be way more comfortable with luxury, and yes, the luxuries that really make the most impact are the small ones 😊

Excitement is definitely a key for me! However due depression I stopped finding things I liked exciting. So I’d hoard “it doesn’t make me feel excited anymore but ik it did so imma get this anyway” It’s comforting to hear that it’s ok to stop finding things exciting as things change. I’m just said bc things that excited me were rlly close to what I thought as my identity. And I’m sure if it weren’t for depression I’d still be excited for them. But rn I can’t work w what if. It’s ok to not find it exciting anymore. And focus on other things that excite me. And it’s ok to find the old exciting again. I’m never stuck!

Also another problem is like it feels like money waste if things stop feeling exciting. So it’s as u said, analyze what makes it exciting n find a pattern

Also I can find things less exciting due emotional numbness n once I process my feelings I feel excited bout it again
