Kit Kraft was wonderful... They had a little of everything there... Lots of great scratch building supplies. The completed diorama turned out great... I may have to add this kit to my list...

Phil I love this model. It was a great tv series, one of my favourites. I have the boxset. One for your collection to be proud of for sure.

Glad you were able to score something for that mesh section. I'm lucky in that our makerspace has an old 40W CO2 laser, so I can often just cut stuff from thin plexiglass or wood veneer, but in situations like this there's just no substitute.

A fine conclusion with an interesting story about Robert Ballard. I like the use of the stripped decals that were slightly different in color from the yellow you used because, in reality, big stickers are generally what you see on heavy equipment. One thing I might have done was to put a wash or two on the rock cargo. Great work!

Well Phil you've gone and done it again a superb build and a top finish the rocks do look good in the back, the only thing i am not sure about is the vivid green on the base rocks but it does look good. A very successful build-- the aquarium rocks add a lot of action and drama to the scene without even trying. I'll repeat myself-- this brave new world of LEDs is mind-boggling to this impoverished fool who still has a blue LED that cost $5 and looks bad. Your stories are terrific-- who else is talking about Seaquest? And who else with your level of authority. Who can blame the good Dr. for looking askance at a pile of telephone messages... But it all worked out.

Phil what can I say but Dam fine work, and as for seaQuest in my mind one of the best TV shows, just a shame it hasn't been rebooted with todays Tec.

I would love it if you maneuvered your overhead camera several inches forward, tilting the frame downward to keep the same view. It would keep your hair from blocking the shot so often, I think… 🙂👍

I really enjoyed Seaquest DSV, especially the first season with Roy Scheider. I am curious as to what your ideas were if you had secured the rights to VTTBOTS. Would you have drastically altered the look of the classic series design of the Seaview?

Did you do anything with the production of E.T because that was amlin production
