50 years later, this song is still played and especially sung in its original key which is unbelievable even if Ian is clearly struggling with it.

I first heard this album (MACHINE HEAD), in 1972 as a teenager (weirdly enough at school from a music teacher stand in)?? it made the hairs stand up on my neck, and I went straight to town to buy it, and anything else similar I could lay my hands on. I've been a Heavy rock, hard rock, blues, metal, punk, classical music, Miles Davis ,weird jazz fusion, Frank Zappa, or any other genre of music known to man. I was lucky enough to see Deep Purple live at Knebworth in 1985, (shit gig due to it pissing down all day, but a stellar performance by all bands on that day). Sadly I think Ian Gillan should now give it up as his voice is lacking, sad to say this, but we all have to realise our limitations even though we still feel 18 yrs old. Saying that, I wish all these bands could still get income from past record sales, although that seems to have been shafted by the internet. By the way, my desert island disc track would be Ian Gillan singing "CHILD IN TIME" from "Made In Japan". Easily the greatest vocal performance of all time .

@Elñoño9992 жыл бұрын
@gerardoalmaraz14072 жыл бұрын

@Elñoño9992 жыл бұрын
