Thanks for your comment, it is 'simple' yet effective and easily adapted back to 'work-mode' ;-) And the best part for me - you can't really tell from the outside that it's an expedition vehicle

Another enthusiastic owner who wants to make the most of the Defender. Great videos- thanks for taking the time to produce them. Ours is called "Elisfor"........a bit of a joke with the kids when they were younger..."L is for Landr...:-)

If you would like to know, the spare wheel carrier on the back is there because if the wheel is on the rear door, the wheel is too heavy. This would cause it to damage the hinges. It also makes the door lighter and easier to open. I can see you will have many adventures in it as i own one myself.👍👍

It also acts as a platform to stand on when opening/closing the tent!

My Landy 110 is called XOX (part of the numberplate) 20 years old now, it has a side lifting roof from Dormobile with 2 bunks in the roof space, webasto diesel central heating, cooker, sink, lockers etc (that i made) swivel rear seat, and loo, It is set up for one man and his dog, (dog rides shotgun on a special bed platform with his own seatbelt lol, ) I use it mostly for my daily commute and trips to the west coast of scotland in the winter and doing agricultural shows in the summer where we stay overnight, it also tows my 3.5 tone trailer with our exhibition gear in it for the show set up and our marquee.

Wow, sounds good. Dormobile must be one of the first and it sounds like a hardworking 300Tdi? Sure you've seen our other of the 'modern' version: video:kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qLmdaqyCmr7elIk.html Like the part about the dog seat. We really need to get back up to Scotland sometime, beautiful area...

One way you can take some of the wander out of steering is to install a Tierra firma return to center steering stabilizer. I did this to my 110, and it made a world of difference. The cvs are not hard to replace, make sure to get appropriate seals. The swivels are a bit labor intensive to replace, but a complete novice should be able to do it in a day. Also check your swivel housings to ensure you have grease or ep 00 or if pre 1990, gear oil. You may also want to check ball joints and drag link joints to ensure these are not perished.

I wouldn't recommend jumping on the bonnet mounted spare, if the bonnet flexes it could damage parts mounted at the top of the engine, nice truck and good video, enjoyed watching

You're quite right - especially the turbo which you don't want to lose (ask me, I know;-))... But it's holding up well. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it

😜😁 Cheers! The Puma was retired to spend its days on the domaine of the firm I used to work for. It never put a foot wrong - good piece of kit (its a lottery with these vehicles, of course😎

How many Defenders have you now ? This one and the 90 200 tdi ? =)

Hi Marco_au_boulot, just one landy. We were gutted that we weren't allowed to import our 90 from Holland into France because of the 'partial conformity' due to too many changes. And had to sell our beloved Muddy Boots in the Netherlands :-( Dakota is a totally different experience, which makes it fun and somehow easier?

Sad to read that :/ We live in Europe, but all countries are not able to have the same laws for vehicle ... I understand your choice, sometimes i would prefer than my 90 will be a 110 :) There are so many places to see in France and Europe !
