Meanwhile, Joey meets his old nemesis, Dwayne, who decides to bring back outlawed initiation - especially for Joey, Snake and Wheels. Laheysvoid X I don't get it either. I know upclassmen like to give freshmen a hard time. But snake and wheels are sophomores. Joey's the only 9th grader in their trio. Plus they let Caitlin go to grab wheels, when she's the freshman.

Because DJH went up to 9th grade, it could be that DH used to only have grades 10-12 prior to the DJH fire. Other option: Dwayne may have been speaking specifically about Tessa, Scooter, and Bart. Scooter was already said to have skipped a grade in DJH when he first enrolled, making him younger than other 9th graders in DH. Tessa and Bart were in 7th grade during DJH season 3, so they would have had to have skipped 8th grade to be enrolled in DH.

When DJH burnt down, they had to move the students from there somewhere, so they put them in DH. So the kids who are now starting 7th and 8th grade are at the high school, not just the people who graduated.
