Recently diagnosed as an epileptic, Caitlin is having a hard time accepting her condition. She convinces her mother to let her audition for the school play, but then nearly drops out - blaming her disease - when she doesn't get the part. Meanwhile, shy Michelle is terrified at the thought of giving a speech and tells her teacher that she has laryngitis.
The second season of Degrassi Junior High premiered on January 4, 1988 with another 13 episodes. It takes place after the students' return from spring break and continues some of the issues that the students were facing last term.
Light, funny and poignant, DEGRASSI JUNIOR HIGH is a series with strong family appeal. Set in an inner-city neighbourhood on its way up, the series is a street-wise look at what really goes on in the kid-adult world of junior high school. yes.interestingly enough for this year in australia home and away are kind of repeating this storyline three decades on with Raffy.granted actress olivia deeble was not even alive when this was shown but someone should send this to her.

I know eh she always has comments about others and cant mind her own business, always has a judgment on others, however is a show lol I gotta remember that lol and maybe its just good acting that makes me not able to stand Kathleen lol

For those wondering what seizure this is called, there called absence seizures. I have had them. You just stare for some seconds then come back but you dont really remember doing it. It's more common when your young but as you get older you rarely have them anymore only when there triggered...

I remember witnessing a kid having a seizure in my science class. At first, he fell off his stool so almost everyone assumed that he was just being a klutz and started to laugh except for a few of us including myself. I had this vibe that something wasn't right. After minutes of waiting for him to get up, he started making these repetitive gagging noises and moved a little like Caitlin. It was freaky and haunted me for the rest of that week!

Yes but seizures are always like that,impressive and frightening! A person having a seizure can sometimes swallow her tongue but it doesn't last long in general.

Back in my HS days, a girl right beside in class had a seizure and her face was twitching like crazy. It was super scary and weird!

There are different kinds of seizures. Some kinds don’t look like others. For some people, they just blank out and can’t remember anything when they come to (absence seizures). For others, it’s intensely physical and their whole body shakes.

I'm very curious as to why Caitlin is in grade 7 n Joey is in grade 8 but by the time Degrassi school out Caitlin graduate n Joey has another year.....guess I'll find out as I keep watching the show

Yes I don't know the exact term for it but epileptics have those episodes when they go blank and don't realize it (among others possible things like sudden emotivity, repetitive movement, memory loss, pins and needles and of course the big seizures everyone thinks about when "epilepsy" is mentionned)
