When Melanie can’t come up with the twenty dollars she needs to buy a concert ticket, she "borrows" it from her mother's purse. Shane tells Spike he can't pay for child support so that he can buy a ticket instead, and Joey makes a twenty-dollar bet.
The third season of Degrassi Junior High premiered on November 7, 1988 with 16 episodes. It depicts the 1988-1989 school year.

I started watching this because I love Degrassi next gen and next class and I thought it would be cool to see the time era my parents want to school in the 80's but the description says 1988-1989 and my parents graduated that year so ig it's not as exact as I thought but still this show is the best 👍💯

she could have just asked for the babysitting money early, if she would have just asked, or just beg her mom by saying please its for a date with a guy I've liked for two years and he finally asked me out. i would have gave her the money.
