The second season of Degrassi Junior High premiered on January 4, 1988 with another 13 episodes. It takes place after the students' return from spring break and continues some of the issues that the students were facing last term.

After seeing the episode when Emma went to go see her dad and how Spike was acting, its ridiculous. I understand Spike apologized afterwards and said she wanted to tell her about Shane when Emma was older but Shane wanted to be involved with the baby and Spike was completely standoffish the entire time. It's not as if Shane didn't want anything to do with the baby and Spike's pregnancy. During this time Spike should have atleast let Shane have an opinion in the matter even after the whole eggbert situation.

The actress who played Melanie had a huge issue with a stalker in the '90s. It caused her to completely drop out of the public eye, so that's probably why we never heard about her in TNG.

Actually, the stalker wasn't a former employee of Degrassi, he was an accountant from Australia named Brian Andrew Sutcliffe. He began harassing Sara and another Degrassi crew member via phone, e-mail and snail mail. When Canadian police got into contact with Australian police, they stormed Sutcliffe's home and found many weapons and was arrested with stalking and possession of illegal firearms.

Man, I can't believe they did wheels like that. His comeback in TNG is very satisfying, don't get me wrong. But by the end of DH season 2, we've spent 6 years with wheels and we watched him grow up from an average kid, then losing his parents, to finally becoming an adult and realizing he is responsible for his life. By the series finale he really looks in line to be a good and conscientious person. Then BAM! All of the sudden he's an alcoholic and is a drunk driver. inexplicably becoming selfish and short-shighted with none of the drive we saw in him in previous seasons. Just very troubling to see a character that I had come to really root for struggle so hard and ultimately fail. That being said, his comeback in TNG made it clear that mistake didn't ruin him forever

I get that guys aren't carrying a baby and can easily leave, but reminding the guy 24/7 does not help. Treating him as if he's a second class citizen is unfair. A lot of kids miss out on having two parents because of that.
