I think attacking people over a word is more terrible. Scream at them sure, but not physically attack. I like to ignore the racist idiot people...it doesn't have to offend me, at least not a lot. I think they didn’t give them enough storylines in time... tbh they are cute/funny but since they arrived in this season where the other stories were super serious and dramatic; it kind of just lighten the mood.

Degrassi was always that show to tackle real world issues in a realistic but respectful manner. Still is that way to this day.

Actually he was being stupid and that was prejudice. In real life she wouldn’t make the restaurant look bad, because she would have to wear a net unless the restaurant has no policy on being sanitary. Neko I agree with some of what you’re saying, you can’t help who you’re attracted to. I don’t however agree with there being less racism today than there was then. If you aren’t a person of color then you don’t share the same experiences and can’t speak on others.

Saying you're "not personally attracted to black people" is racist. Black people are different from person to person so that statement doesn't make sense. No two black people have the same hair, the same nose, the same skin tone, the same voice, the same personality. What is there that's the same in all black people that you can group together and rule out as a trait you don't like? Sorry for ranting this just means a lot to me.

This is the epitome of ignore. First of all, you can’t say you’re “not personally attracted” to black people because it makes absolutely no sense. As mentioned before, two black people are the same so what is it you’re not attracted to? Their skin? Love should be based on personality. Just because a person is skinny they can’t ever be attracted to people who are overweight? No. Looks are just a by-product, you find people who make you happy. Second of all, racism is still an extremely big struggle in today’s society and if you haven’t experienced it, then you can’t speak on it. If you are not a person of color, please do not assume what minorities, like I have to struggle with every day. Whether it be a little remark with racist intent or a full on unfair, racist act. And third of all, what upset me most was the fact that you had the audacity to say that racist is experienced more on “the other side.” White people can not experience racism, I repeat CAN NOT! Racism is the act of discriminating against a society that has experienced SUPPRESSION. What suppression have white people experienced? None. They do not experience racism, and are not discriminated against, so never EVER claim that they experience more racism than minorities. I’m not even one to rant and go on a tangent about racism, there are a lot of current day issues that I consider to be frivolous and pointless, and an honest waste of time towards true change for racism, yet this comment is AN actual threat and problem.
