Man, you ever realize that when it comes to Maya, she’s trying to help, but something goes wrong and makes someone mad at her, and sometimes she gets blamed for something. You can kinda understand why she tried to kill herself, she felt like she only caused her friends anger, so she felt she was bad for people.

Luis Torres 99% someone needs to intervene tho. The Tristan and Mr Yates situation and the miles situation. Now that I think about it this is where her depression started. Zoe came and bullied her and Tristan was on her side, Maya did something with Tristans interest at heart. Instead he disowned her and started being friends with Zoe. So she lost her best friend. Zig started dating Zoe and then everyone slowly started shutting her out until she was alone.

Yeah but even if it is a result of the trauma from Cam it can still be pretty overbearing to someone like Miles who is trying to move on from her and has enough in his life to deal with (especially bc i don’t think miles ever knew about cam). Like the person above me said in some situations it is necessary like the tristan-yates situation but i have in fact found myself agreeing with some of the characters when they say maya tends to stick her nose into other peoples’ business

Cam's choice has left Maya scarred, this was one of the early signs of how his choice has taken a toll on her mental health. Her mental health starts to decline from this point, and you can see her breakdown over time from this point and throughout the series including, The Next Class.

This goes to show what can happen when you bottle up what you're feeling. Maya turned cold after Cam's suicide and never properly dealt with his death until she exploded. Now all she sees are "signs" that those close to her are going to go down the same path. Even with the accident, Maya became obsessed with death and I think some left over issues with Cam had a part in her obsession as well.

Maya can be really overbearing at times. BOUNDARIES girl, I had to learn that too. You just can’t save everyone, and everyone don’t want to be saved. I understand her heart was in the right place but some stuff you just kinda have to let it play out the way it’s going to play out. Tristian told Maya if you tell you’re dead to me. I’m not saying Tristian wasn’t in an unsafe situation but she should’ve let him handle it or at least see how he was going to handle it. Maybe even telling Tristian I’m sorry but I have to tell. Nope instead she did it behind his back and that’s why Tristian can’t stand her guts

Miles is an indecisive ingrate with daddy issues. Tristan was the only one who was able to give Miles the comfort he needed after Maya dumped him. Once he was better, he started taking Tristan for granted. Tristan noticed Miles lost interest and they broke up. In Season 1 of Next Class after MIles drug addiction, he needed a positive influence and he and Tristan made amends. It wasn't until near the end of season 2 that they finally admitted that they love each other.

I know Maya is dealing with Trauma but she’s definitely not innocent. Instead of hearing Miles out she shut him out and while he’s trying to get over her, she’s coming at him being overbearing without explaining she lost someone to suicide and she’s just concerned. I can’t expect kids to talk like adults but Geesh. It’s so much lack of communication on this show

I ship Miles and Maya. I never liked Maya after she started being nosey. Like when Maya told on Tristan's thing with the teacher. I get it was disguisting. I had to fast foward. However, it wasn't her secret to tell. It shows you can't trust her. So, I really don't care that Miles yelled at her. No offense to people who like Maya. So, I while I ship them it would be nice to ship Miles with a character I like. However, Zoe and Zig where perfection. So, even if Miles and Maya made a bad couple (personally, I think they make a good couple.) Why should that get in between Zoe and Zig?

Alyssa Stern the teacher statulatory raped Tristan and was a pedophile for having sex with a minor. He tried to grope Winston, and Tristan still was mad at Maya for telling even after finding out that he tried to grope Winston. What was she supposed to do, talk to Tristan to stop seeing Yates, yeah he would never have listened. Maya doing that took a lot of courage especially since she lost a good friend and it was never the same again between them. Here miles screams at her, zig was an ass to her for dating miles, Tori insulted her many times, Zoe made that face range page and she was sexually assaulted by that guy who grabbed her ass. She was called a slut around campus. And she does amazing things for her friends like trying to help Miles, Tristan and Zig. She was having bad anxiety and was having minor episodes of PTSD seeing miles kill himself from her triggers of Cam. And then she gets bad depression and tries to kill herself! Like damn she has suffered so much and is one of my favorite characters aside from Claire and Becky because of how kind they are.

Yeah I disagree on the Tristan and Yates thing bc Tristan was literally being manipulated and abused by an adult, *but* I do agree that i feel like everyone in this comment section hating on miles and defending maya isn’t really taking Miles’ side into account and maya definitely does start being super nosy as hell into other peoples business around these seasons. Even if it is because of Cam that doesn’t make it okay for her to invade spaces where it’s been made clear she isn’t wanted. I don’t think Miles ever even properly knew about Cam or had the situation explained to him past the vague stuff Maya said.
