‘Arch’ is much better than ‘Archiekins’

people who said the kiss came from nowhere... they literally haven't been watching the same show. this video proves it

Anyone notice how Archie and Betty's relationship (whether platonic or romantic) has always been mutually beneficial? They were always there for each other; it was never just about one person. If Archie needed someone, Betty would gladly be there, and vice versa, regardless of what either of them were going through. I'm not sure if they planned on writing their characters this way, but Veronica and Jughead have always seemed a little too selfish/impulsive to be in a relationship. Veronica constantly uses Archie to solve her problems and gets frustrated when he isn't there for her immediately. Even when she "helps" him, it feels like she only does it to give herself a pat on her own back. Archie always gets roped into her issues. Jughead is constantly comparing his problems to Betty's and acting like he's so different from her. It's like he's frustrated with being with someone who wants to do nice things for him, and instead of talking to her about it, he lashes out super fast. (Not that Betty and Archie are saints; it just seems like their relationships bring out the worst in them rather than the best). I love them all as a friend group, but the relationships in this show have always deterred me from binge-watching it. It just gets so annoying. I won't be mad if Betty and Archie form a romantic relationship, but I'm still disappointed that they went through the cheating route again. Also, if the show ends with Varchie and Bughead... jesus christ. If they don't go through with Betty and Archie, they just need to end these relationships at least. Imagine Veronica and Jughead's reactions when they find out their respective partners kissed... AGAIN?? (edit: edited so that my comment didn't look like one run-on sentence lol) Another edit: Another thing I noticed after making this comment; how many times has Betty saved Archie in this show? Risked everything to protect him? How many times has Archie saved Betty? Hell, he even risked being buried alive for her. Compare this to how many times Veronica has "saved" Archie or Jughead with Betty... yeah it was definitely written this way lol. Most of the time when Veronica and Jughead are "saving" their partners, it's saving them from the mess they created on their own. Why does Archie go to Betty whenever he needs help with something serious instead of Veronica? Again, not hating on Jughead or Varchie because this doesn't need to be romantic; it's clear that Archie and Betty's relationship has always been stronger/healthier (even if it's just a friendship).

Barchie is literally the most nontoxic couple on riverdale and that says something I mean come on they look so good together, we all knew that “pretend” kiss would start something, I feel bad for Jughead and Veronica but from the start they were meant to be. Honestly Veronica literally dragged Archie into her daddy issues which caused Hiram to literally send people to kill Archie and send him to prison he encouraged a young boy who didn’t know any better to start a gang and on top of that Veronica has really no use for Archie out side of sex and dealing with her daddy issues Jughead basically brought Betty into a literal gang and encouraged her to be some type of detective he’s gotten her into some really shitty situations And their both around the age of 17 *in the show*

I feel like Archie never acknowledged his feelings until that moment you saw him get a bit jealous when Jughead put his arm around her, and after that he just pushed them away. You could tell that there was a slow burn because every time they kissed there was passion, and they’d always do anything for each other. I’m glad that they’re getting a chance even if it’s only for a few episodes...

A few reasons to ship Barchie: -Arch is wayyyyy better then Archiekins -They trust each other the most (Betty told him about the blackhood, Archie called her when his Dad got shot and asked her to take care of him when he goes to Jail) -The window scenes -Archies looks at Bughead(There are so many) -They don‘t wanna hurt Jug and Veronica, but when they Both broke up and had a big fight they went to each other -They ALWAYS treat each other with respect and love -The only ones that talked about there kiss and were saying That it was just a stupid kiss where Jug and Veronica because Betty and Archie knew that it meant something (About the car kiss) -How gentle he is with her, he‘s never like this with Veronica and their relationship is based on looks -Betty and Jughead are almost step siblings and share a brother -Archie said she was to good for him -The Night were it all went wrong, was the night were Veronica came to Riverdale and he rejected Betty♥️ -When Betty talks about them being friends and how nice it is really seemed to hurt him -Archie said the only Thing he regrets about the night they caught blackhood was That he didnt Shot him...So he didnt regret the kiss -The texting scene -Their hugs -After they cheated and were in an emotional disaster they still smiled at each other when they were dancing And there are much More! Those writers...still terrible but they redeem themselves with how they’ve handled Barchie by now. There is so much slow burn and build up, they don’t actually rush as they usually do. I’ve loved this song for 10 years, and since I didn’t catch up on the last episodes and didn’t know what was happening I was literally glued to the screen. And you made those new scenes perfect with that song and the voiceovers and omg!!!

The only reason i keep watching riverdale is for them to be endgame. I hope it isn’t ruined by bughead and varchie fans

Damn, watching this now I just get this feeling that through all the mess that this show's been and all the crazy storylines, Barchie is the only thing that seems right. It's hard to explain but their relationship embodies everything I would have loved and expected this show to be: a lovely teen show. Like season 1. Riverdale lost itself when it started trying to be a show that it could never be but looking at Barchie's history (together, definitely not Betty and Archie as separate individuals) they remain the only "sane" part of the "madness" that Riverdale's become.

All of the best romantic relationships are based out of friendships. Archie and Betty have been best friends for years. And both the source comics and the show Archie and Veronica I have more of a lust relationship. Although, there is nothing wrong with lust, that is what their relationship is almost entirely built on. I try to ignore bughead as much as I can because Jughead is cannonly aroace and I am pissed that every day decided to make him straight. That was a bad move so their relationship is aphobic and sucks. I grew up on the comics and Barchie was always my favorite ship.
