Delhi City in 1858 || Old Delhi City || India Before Independence || British Rule:
Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area in the country’s north. In Old Delhi, a neighborhood dating to the 1600s, stands the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort, a symbol of India, and the sprawling Jama Masjid mosque, whose courtyard accommodates 25,000 people. Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops and spice stalls.
In this video we show Delhi city's glories past, history of Delhi city, Delhi before Independence, Delhi under British rule.

Almost all the invasions that Delhi suffered , be it the Turks, Mughals, Mongols, Afghans , Persians, including Alexander’s forces………all came through that area which is now the North western borders of India and Delhi bore the brunt of those invasions. That’s precisely the reason Punjabis are hardy fighters against all aggression ! Case in point……Punjab Regiment and Sikh Regiment !

How do you confirm if the dates are correct? Was there even Camera in 1857? This is the era of Maha Rani Laxmi Bai , Battle with English wasfought by Rani Lakshmi Bai & Tantia Tope and First Revolt Mutiny against the British was Started in same year!

my grandmother lived near jamma masjid migratedto Pakistan in 1947 she was from syed family and her brother never been found she were missing him and crying for him all her life any one know at that time syed mumtaz Ali shah (late) family were living near jamma mousq (masjid)

To control haphazard growth i.e encroachment mushrooming unplanned growth of Delh, i Delhi Improvement Corporation was established by the British Government in 1917 later it was changed to Delhi Development Authority in the year. 1957. DDA has been doing its best to planned Development but the politician pore water on it

Picture is taken from top of the palace. And because of all buildings surrounding the palace are lower height, picture is clearly visible in long distance.
