My laptop model DELL is Dell Inspiron 15 3000 and suddenly it was dormant. As you explained, I go through the mother board and found. no 5V_PWR in points and no D3V_PWR Therefore I removed R3801 resistor, after that 3D3V_S5 was present and fond 3D3V_S5_PCH side is dead short. What could be the problem.

sir mera dell 5520 laptop on nahi ho rha tha to kuch board me issue hai.....4-5 months pehle repair krvaya tha...thode din to sahi chala pr uske baad phir se band ho gya.....charger lagane pr laptop on nhi hota aur charger ki led blink hoti hai.......mujhe kya phir se repair krvana chahiye ya board replacement krvana chahiye...aap kya suggest kroge

“BRO” search in Google or brother search in Google? Confused if website or jester? My exact same Dell worked fine, then plugged in power supply and the power supply must have detected over current and shut off green LED. Tried another Dell power supply, same result. I have Fluke 87 V DMM & scope and know how to use them. The schematics chart software is usually a product the cost money. Is this free on Google search, pay per day/24 hours or purchase to download? Thanks.

If like mine now, the A/C adaptor “Green” LED goes out only when plugged in. It is a safety feature if too much current is detected. Green LED comes back on and does the same with second A/C adaptor from Dell. Both OEM, both work, both shut off on this one laptop. The other is older Dell XP PRO, the new on that kills the adaptor is Windows 10 and 3 years old. Make a guy mad on a 7 cent part shorts. Just need a schematic. ASE Master Tech since 1978 - Retired now.

May be 8 or 7 beeps, if there is 8 beeps then you can change led or lvds cable, if 7 beeps then check all the required voltage.thanks.

Lol mine too but when I held power button the light lit up but then went off. I layered figured out I had to just push power button not hold as it was starting up it thought i wanted to turn it off. Try that I have same exact model 3000 series
