Did it work? I can’t find a 32gb kit thats 16x2 and works. Every time I order one that’s supposed to it doesn’t fit.

Doctor, el manual dice solo máximo 16 gigas de ram, me confirmas pero tu has puesto 32gigas. entonces el manila esta equivocado.

@@S4PIENT i just added some more ram to my 7010, i went up from 8gb to 16gb. i see no difference in any of the apps running on my pc.my 7010 has 4 ram slots.they do sell 8gb rams each. so i could buy 4 of the 8gb slots and go up to 32gb of ram, but i doubt it would make any difference.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic but he was just going through the general methodology on accessing the RAM slots which is more than useful enough for me. I suggest you do your own research for that level of technical detail.

Yes. This model supports 16GB (8GB x 2), up to 32GB (8GB x 4). On one home game server system I run 24GB (8GB x 2 and 4GB x 2) with compatible RAM.

@@statixman It is certainly possible, but only if 16GB is causing 'lock ups' in processing. Otherwise, 16GB in dual-channel is sufficient. Otherwise it will just be a redundant single channel stick. Consider also, timings. They will ideally be identical brand and timings to ensure they don't 'downgrade' to the slowest stick. It really is a case of try and see. I have been surprised at how flexible this motherboard has been with adding 2 different brands, (identical brand pairings of dual-channel but all at the same frequency) in the available slots.

@arramus ok so last bit/question.. I bought 2 new sticks of 2x8gb of ram. Took out the old stick and put in just the 2 new one and it only flashes yellow on the power button. I tried all variations of the new ram in with the old ram and nothing but flashing. I put the old 1 stick of 8gb in and it powered right up. I have read that dell won't allow RAM upgrades on certain devices... does anyone know of this?

@@statixman You tried both of the new sticks individually, right, just to confirm one of them isn't a dud? Some systems only allow proprietary hardware, and HP has been known to pull that one. Dell is typically more forgiving on these releases.
