Even though I just got back from Japan, I've already ordered four new Indian pens! I think that the price of nice pens in Japan gave me some renewed perspective about the value that I get with Indian ones :-) All of the remaining pens have very interesting nibs!

Ha! Yes, it reminds me of the "dM" from Songs of Faith and Devotion, now that you mention it. I had a friend in high school who was a huge DM fan, and since my last name is Gore, he'd call me Martin Gore, sometimes...

It looks as though they sell pens with Kanwrite and JoWo nibs, so it is at least possible to buy an all Indian made pen from them. I like the fact that they don't just laser-etch their nibs... and some of their nibs are hand-engraved, which is awesome. I just ordered one of their VIP Eggshell pens, so we'll see how it turns out.

@@thewetpen eggshell looks awesome but recently everyone here is doing this hand engraving, including lotus, vazir, magna Carta, delmoon ... Its a trend now. I have so many pens with jowo & Kanwrite nibs so if I buy another only the aesthetics will change , not the writing experience. So eagerly waiting for the brands to come up with their own nibs, if not possible, at least custom grind, tuned ones will also work for me. As at Kolkata pen mahotsav Kanwrite revealed their super sized #9 45mm nib with their pen named Mammoth.

@@kkkall02 UPS just attempted to delivery my Kanwrite Mammoth with the #9 nib today... but it seems that the package was missing some information, and they're trying again tomorrow (or later today, if I get lucky). The pen at the very end of this video with the engraved nib is a Vazir that I just got... it does seem to be a trend in India, but still very rare here. I'm a big fan.

I've seen those Pens Point demos, and thought about ordering one, but maybe you can help me with something. I see that they have JoWo nibs, which means that they probably use standard screw-in JoWo nib units... so it seems like they should be able to accept converters. Would a converter attach to yours? Or is it eyedropper only? The shape is odd, but it looks like it might be comfortable for a large hand.

@@thewetpen I have not used converters. I will let you know. Right now it is inked. It will take few days to check.The shape is very comfortable in hands. It is a medium-sized pen.

Hello Sir, Sorry for the late reply. You cannot use a converter / cartridge for the Pen Point Demo pen. It is an eye dropper only.

Yes, but they're not very exhaustive. Fountain Pen Revolution carries a variety of fountain pens, but they're mostly known for their FPR branded Indian pens. Peyton Street Pens also carries a couple of Indian brands (Lotus, Ranga). There may be others that I'm not remembering
