Haha, yes that is a deal breaker for sure! They should make a frog one or try another endangered species in the wild for a wider audience ^_^ whatever they choose I'm sure it will look so good like this brass snake one.

Haha yes that is true! In most places of the world and in people's mind, rattlesnakes are dangerous for sure and we've always been taught and seen in media that they are scary, as with most poisonous snakes. I really do think this would be more geared towards someone who either hasn't experienced the horrors of snakes in real life or if you're not afraid of them at all haha. And I hope they're not invasive where you live, that is terrible. I wonder what other species of animals they could be using to inspire them for another pen rest idea, since I'm sure they'd sell out if they tried a panda playing with its mother and somehow being able to make their body shape hold one of our lovely pens. Now that would be quite expensive though... I'm curious, what pen rests do you have? 😀

@@KenchanKrafts It's funny, but I have several very cheap pens rests, and some very expensive ones, but with one exception, the cheap ones get used ninety percent of the time because they're also unbranded. One is just a piece of walnut with a groove for a pen to lie in, and seven holes that hold the vials that ink samples come in. This is always on my slant desk. Another in a ladder with six steps. This holds my art pens, and is at my art desk. The only other one I use regularly is a custom piece a friend bought me in France. It meets all my needs. It has a wide, stable marble base with a brass riser than securely holds two pens. It has a square, brass cubicle at each end made to hold inkwells, and I greatly prefer pen rests that have built in inkwells. Coincidentally, the large Diamine ink bottles fit into these cubicles perfectly. I have one that is just a piece of polished turquoise with a pen grove in it, and a hole that takes a thirty Diamine bottle. My grandson made me a tyrannosaurus Rex pen holder. I also have the usual kneeling knight made out of acrylic. But when I use my Kaweco Brass Sport, which is pretty often, I use one of the Hebin ink bottles as a pen rest. Small pen, small nib, small ink bottle, and the built in pen rest these bottles have works perfectly. I used all the ink in several of these bottles, so I rinsed them, removed the labels, and use them as inkwells for my Kaweco Brass Sport. Well, and for the single Classic Sport I have. Don't have a clue where I got the Classic, but I found it in a drawer some months ago, so I must have bought it at some point. Anyway, these small bottles go perfectly with the small nib on the Kaweco pens, and the built in pen rest holds the pens just right.

@@jamesaritchie1 Wow, those are all very useful and functional! Very unique and love that your grandson made you a T-Rex pen holder! That's so sweet. I don't typically use pen rests/holders, I just store them in my cases and stand them on my little desk organizer to showcase them. And here's enough space to also just showcase 1 ink bottle. I'm very simple like that...xD not much desk space anyways! Thanks for sharing your pen holders and experiences with them. I did not know that Herbin ink bottles could be used to hold pens...do you mean hold pens vertically (in the bottle) or outside laying flat? I assume the first as they're empty inkwells xD
