Delonghi Dinamica Plus - Cappuccino Short

In this video, I show you a cappuccino with the Delonghi Dinamica Plus. I am using Lavazza Espresso beans, 6 weeks off roast date. Also, I am using 3.5% fresh milk. The Dinamica Plus can make some really excellent milk foam and even nice espresso.

Although its a great machine, one thing I think they messed up on is the cappucino options naming scheme. Firstly they have this slightly strange machiatto-esqueoption where they put the milk in first which they have called the (standard) cappucino drink, but then the option which really is the more standard cappucino drink where the espresso is followed by the milk is for some reason called "cappucino mix". In my opinion they should just have gone with this second option, and called it the cappucino. Although personally I have done quite a lot of experimentation and feel the best way great tasting espresso with this machine for me is definitely using the lungo option. I always max out the aroma and strength then wait for the grind noise, followed by the tamp noise, and then stop the shot after exactly 7 repeats of the lungo extraction noise.

Why doesn’t my dinamica plus make that much cappuccino? It will only do maybe half of the glass. Can you teach me how you made a full glass of cappuccino please? I just bought it recently.

You can adjust the drink settings with the app, see if it works out for you by tweaking the settings via the app

I set mine to do the milk for 30 seconds. You can do it in the app, or on the machine. Cheers!

Dinamica Plus is a good amount better. I think it's the best value in the Delonghi SA line.

@@TomsCoffeeCorneryeah, twice the price of the Magnifico on sale right now. I’m just debating if it’s worth it for me to spend that much. I love lattes. I currently use a moka pot every morning. And we have a Nespresso vertuo that my husband uses for coffee, but the pods are so expensive. Both delonghi machines seem great, I just don’t want to regret getting one over the other. 😊

I got the Magnifico Evo. I absolutely LOVE it, and totally recommend it! The latte is definitely hot enough. I had seen the comments where they said it wasn't, but I can honestly say I've burned my mouth from trying to drink it too fast/soon.@@levolevon

I'd call it a Latte Macchiato. But Delonghi calls it a cappuccino.

Between 2-4, depending on how fresh the beans are.

I have this machine and when using the built in grinder, can only get drinkable espresso on 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 (depending on the roast and roast date), though it is most often on 3.5 for me. I'm quite surprised you are able to go as low as 2 and get anything drinkable. @@TomsCoffeeCorner
