I like how easy this grinder is to take apart. I recently bought a KINGrinder K6. It works well, but the disassembly is a pain because it has a tiny retaining clip you have to deal with. Thanks for your review! I appreciate it.
@TomsCoffeeCorner11 минут бұрын
I agree, this is easier to take apart than the Kingrinder.
Got the machine - it makes good coffee, I ordered the parts - the advanced mode is a MUST!

I have exactly the same Delonghi espresso machine and just recieved my new bottomless portafilter. Tested three types of grinding: coarse, fine and super fine. 16g., trample... Even with super fine i didn't receive coffee cream like your. The coffe is BRAZIL SAMAMBAIA single origin. Where am I wrong?

Great video! I've been using a LaPavoni Europiccola for two years and I love it a lot but I've been thinking about adding a Gaggia Classic or a Rancillio Silvia just to try. Because of your video I recently bought a used ECP with naked pf and ims screen and so far I'm pretty impressed. It really makes good espresso! I still might buy a used gaggia classic though just to see how it performs with the Gagguino mod.

Hi Tom. Can you plug it into your car to charge it? Does it make more shots if you use hot water? Nice review thanks
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 сағат бұрын
It makes a lot more shots if you use already heated water. Maybe up to 10 shots. But that kind of defeats the purpose of the portability. Anyway, you can charge it in your car, but it will take forever. You ideally want a fast charger with good amperage throughput.

How does it compare to e.g. a Eureka Manuale which is around the same price point? I get they are designed differently with the DF being single dose, but how does the result in the cup compare?
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 сағат бұрын
I am guessing very, very similar. The burr design looks nearly identical to be honest. I mean, I’ve never tried the Manuale, but this would be my best guess.

I have this. But to be honest, it's not as good as expected. You have to take all your ground coffee with you and probably water, and then the coffee all gets stuck in the basket . It's a bit of a mess. I had issues with the magnets on my dossing funnel as they fell out. On paper, it looks ok, but in reality, it's a bit of a novelty that I have only used twice in 4 months.

It seems as if you went out of your way to sabotage this review, when steaming you continue to let the small jug overflow and watch it do that. When you zero the scale it's with the small jug, then you measure it with the large jug 🧐. When you put it into advanced mode you already know the large jug is better for you but you go back to the small jug. It seems you wasn't advanced to use it in that mode, slowing down the video to 0.25x you can see you lower the milk allowing it to spray out. Even the shower screen puck image you show at the start and at the end are different, one has a clear spot in the middle and the last one doesn't.

This is a great review, thank you very much! It would also be great to see a review of the new Magnifica Plus machine. I can’t find a good review of it anywhere, but the new display, the number of drinks, the extra shot function and the larger milk container are attractive. I'm thinking between it and Evo.

So does this mod show a backup or increase in pressure if my grinds are to fine? Or does this simply display what pressure is coming from the pump?

Anyone else found, fine espresso grind restricts flow literally down too nothing. I use aeropress grind but get 3:1 ratio in 25 secs.

Great video. Where is that beautiful location? You prepared and tamped the coffee pretty much exactly the way I do it right now, with no WDT. I love that you showed all of grinding, tamping, and cleanup. The tamper sticking is the same as my tamper that came with my Flair. I suspect that it comes from being too thin at the sides. I have similar issues if the width of the tamper is either slightly too great or slightly too small. BTW I've used several tampers, and the best by far (only endgame) of the 9 that I have used is the MHW-3BOMBER 58.35mm. If I had used that first, I would not have tried another tamper as I would have had no reason to do so.
@TomsCoffeeCornerКүн бұрын
Thanks for posting your experience! Yes, I think the walls are too strongly tapered for the tamper to not get a little bit stuck. But I don’t really mind. I prefer that over leaving coffee powder around the edges of the basket. It’s a pretty nice little set for the price. I’m going to have to try the 58.35 mm tamper you’re talking about. :-)
@TomJones-tx7pb10 сағат бұрын
@@TomsCoffeeCorner It occurred to me overnight that you are reviewing a travel setup, so my comments about tampers is irrelevant to the video. None of my tampers would be what I would want for travel as they are significantly heavy.
@TomsCoffeeCorner4 сағат бұрын
@@TomJones-tx7pb Maybe so, but we still make 99% of our espresso at home, so I think your tamper comment is relevant nonetheless. I appreciate your comments! But anyway, it’s nice that this little kit comes with a short and stout tamper, that’s not too heavy, being aluminum. Cheers!

Really the coffee was not pressurized and I clean these small holes and didn't make bigger the hole on the another sieve . Press start and the sound of preparing coffee was like in new machine. God Bless you, thank you so much !

I want to also clarify I use a 1:2 ratio. Golden Roast Honey Dark Roast Blend. A Kinu M47 Classic at 1.45 revs. Medium gas stove heat. It extracted right in at 35s. All of my dialing settings from the Outin nano basket plus were basically translating to the 9 barista.
@blankenshipandrew30742 күн бұрын
I own this and a Outin Nano with basket plus mod. This with the ims basket nails it in flavor better. Significantly better. It’s still a pricey unit but way cheaper than a Lelit Bianca or LMLM. I love its size. It’s smaller than the Outin.
