Fandom history. But seriously, if I remember right it was confirmed at one point that Staggering Winds was using Kristal to make their videos. Kristal is an engine for Deltarune fangames. It's also pretty much confirmed that Silvagunner is working on it at this point. (Dubious when it was just one OST, but now they've uploaded another secret one from Staggering Winds. So like. Yeah.) I don't think Chapter 3 will release tomorrow. Toby Fox has made it very, very clear that when it releases information will come from an OFFICIAL channel. Some people speculate the twitter account will have another Gaster takeover, or we will get a letter from him. The Friend Inside Me account linking to the tv page isn't all that strange, since it's a Sweepstakes page. Right now, I think the most fascinating question really is what in the world the connection between Friend Inside Me and Staggering Winds is..... TLDR: Staggering Winds and Friend Inside Me are not official sources. Do not expect Deltarune Chapter 3-4 tomorrow. Do expect FRIENDly shenanigans and more chaos.

I've had this theory, and it goes like this: if you look at the release dates for undertale and deltarune, every time he releases a game/chapter, its been every 2-3 years (2016, 2018, 2021 and chapter 3 2023 or 24???) so we are PROBABLY gonna get chapter 3 this year (hopefully).

So about your choices not mattering: they do. They clearly do, we even get a whole route that will clearly affect things in the future. Either this is like flowey saying “it’s kill or be killed” even though you can beat the game and even get another ending for not killing anyone, or it’s speaking to kris telling them that their choices don’t matter because out choices are the ones that really matter. The voice also says “your name is…” and then toriel shouts kris which I think just further implies that it was talking to kris but I could be wrong because we are the ones who make the vessel (unless it was supposed to be kris doing that even though technically we do). Either way, our choices will matter.

I mean we are pretty much working under the assumption this is a fanmade ARG type deal right? That being said, the final text is really cool imo. I think its working off of the theory that the "depths" is what produces darkness from the fountains, and opening a fountain is creating a path to said depths. With that in mind - "DON'T TRUST THE PRINCE" = maybe the most possible line to actually be legit canon. I think the point isn't that Ralsei = Evil, just Ralsei = not telling us what we need to do, just what they want us to do. Might even be a clear divide in that Kris wants to find out what lies beneath a fountain, but the PLAYER doesn't because Ralsei told us not to. "DARKER YET DARKER" = connecting fountains with entry 17, which plays into this theory. That Gaster discovered dark fountains and the experiment was trying to find out what their source is by going there "LOOK BEYOND THE CONFINES" = trying to look beyond the Dark Worlds to what lies beyond a fountain. All this essentially working toward WANTING a fountain to be opened, in order to use it like the gate it is to the "depths" or whatever lies beyond it. The same thing Gaster would have found with the entry 17 experiment. This also does kind of lean into the secret bosses as both were trying to get past their own confines. Jevil saying that being locked in the room actually meant he was outside and they were in, Spamton trying to break his strings to rise "up to heaven" etc. "SHE VANISHED IN A PLACE FROZEN IN TIME" = this one obviously talks about Dess but is what I am not 100% clear on. Possibly this is just a description for the "depths" (because that is where this theory believes Dess is) but it could also be referring to what the final line is talking about, and I think is a final piece of the theory but I might be wrong and it was just the final piece I personally believed when I heard it "TWO ENTITIES TWO WORLDS ONE ESSENCE" = imo the culmination of this theory is that the "depths" indirectly connect Delatrune to Undertale. Hence why Gaster could go into a fountain, and influence Deltarune. Thats the two worlds, the two entities could be alluding to the two different versions of the characters in each, and the one essence is just very obviously us (the soul). None of this is canon of course, but a lot of it very much is based on things that COULD be. I really think something along these lines is true of Ralsei, specifically that they are trying to have us do what is intended by the plot of Deltarune, and ultimately we are going to have to go against this and actually see if Dark Fountains are really as bad as Ralsei keeps trying to imply. Because really, what WOULD happen if we didn't close it, and just jumped in...
