This is a terrific machine and performs as one would expect a DeLuxe mfg sewing machine to perform. The finish is not perfect. But the mechanics of the machine are pristine.
This machine has been professionally restored and is ready for a new home. comes with lots of extras: zig zagger, extra feet and a buttonholer

this belt can be found on different sewing machine parts websites. Even Amazon. I dont have a part number, but belt size will work. Take the belt off. put the motor back on, then take a piece of string and wrap around the belt path. then measure from begiining to end. Buy that size belt. Stay with either a V belt or ribbed belt. dont get a stretchy one size fits all belt. They are too hard on the motor. Good luck

I just picked up a machine similar to this that belonged to my great grandmother and I am trying to figure out how old it is. It has the table with it I folds out of.

I have had a royal deluxe for a few years now I got it at a thrift store for like 13$ I love it and it is in decent condition only a few dings and minor wear on the decal work I use it alot. I was wondering where I could find a replacement on the motor belt and for the bobbin too? I havnt had the chance to fully look but where are some key areas to oil on the machine? Im so happy I found your channel thank you for making these videos!!!

You can probably get away with using a 14" belt on this machine. The best way to figure out the size is to take a piece of string, loop it around the handwheel and the motor pulley. Cut it off so the ends meet. Then measure it. Then you will know your belt size. The bobbin tire can be purchased on Amazon or Ebay. Just look for a Singer 15 bobbin tire. You will have to loosen the motor mount to install the belt. When you tighten the bolt, you want a slight bit of slack on the belt. Dont want it too tight. Good luck!!

I have one of these that I would love to use but it is missing the entire silver needle throat plate/slide cover and that little screw thing on top of the faceplate. Mine is a Brother American Home deluxe precision. Any idea where I could get these replacement parts? Thanks!

What is the thumb screw next to the stitch length regulator for?

It is to lock in the length of stitch. If you were to do a lot of back tacking, you would not have to look to adjust for the stitch, you would just bring the lever down to where you locked it down with the thumb screw. I recently got a scottish 1948 singer it didnt have the selector knob or the thumbscrew (its a forward only stitch) and this is the first time ive seen the back tack used out if dozens if teadle videos, so thank you so much.

I just recieved a DeLuxe Classic and when I plugged in it was sewing without me touching the pedal. Any ideas how to turn it on and off?

Is there a plug for the light and another for the motor? If so, they need to be switched on the power block. Normally, one receptacle will indicate for light, the other for motor. Let me know if we have solved your problem. Thanks!!

@@alexiscruz6276 there are probably marks on the needle bar. Make sure the needle bar timing is correct first. Cause that is easier to adjust than the hook.

There are so many types of these Japanese made machines. Is yours a clone 15? Has the same round plate for the stitch length? What parts are you looking for?

Someone gave me one of these machines and I just now pulled it out of the table, it is so easy to thread and the stitches are perfect from the start. I don't know what the dial is on the base below the stich length, there are 3 positions one of them is NORM, can anyone tell me what that is for? This machine is so pretty : )

That dial lowers and raises your feeddogs.
