She's so slept on. Her songs always have a strong message, always real, always raw. Her vocals have been amazing since she started and only got better through the years yet people still diss her and call her untalented as well as make fun of her for her weight issues and other problems she's faced. I have been a fan of Demi since I first saw her on Barney when i was 5 and I've been stanning her for the past 14 years and I will never stop. She is my inspiration and idol because she never gave up even when life was tough, she made it through this and she talks about it and I needed to hear everything she went through to know I'm not alone and I pray that someday people will stop sleeping on her because she deserves so much more than she gets. Also for all the people who say this is autotuned, in her whole career Demi literally hasn't lip sung, she barely uses backing tracks she rather have a live choir. She has an amazing technique and vocal control that allows her to sihnd exactly like the recording and if she cannot deliver something due to vocal strain or anything else she wont and that's how you know she's really singing. Plus Demi always opens her mouth extremely wide while making facials when she has to go higher and it would be hard for her to imitate that when lip syncing

"That's why u use autotune" my assssss. Whether u like Demi or not, her vocal skills can NOT be questioned. If she were anyone else ,I would be like okkk. But singers like demi,Ari, bey, Tory, Perrie,xtina and Mariah...they are singers that were born with them voices. And many singers are powerful but not many can have power, good diction and emotion. Demi has all of that. Even when her voice cracks or something, she still manages to give a damn good performance. I need Demi and Ari to just make a collab. I don't want to hear any excuses, their vocal ranges are on par, both have charisma ,and have the same empowerment message. Even though their voices are high they both have a different sound. Ari is more fluid and light ,very lovely in my opinion, and Demi is more loud,powerful and emotional. Both are sharp though and hit great. I need them queens to collab, even if it's a 5sec vid of them clapping singing Baby shark. I want something

It's crazy to think she recorded this just before her overdose and nobody in her team thought to help her. That's probably why she fired her original team, a demi in treatment doesn't make them money so why would they want that. She's really bringing so much understanding to addiction and mental health 😍
@DaeganWalsh4 жыл бұрын
Well if you know anything about Addiction then you’d know you can’t BLAME her team. You can’t blame anyone. They clearly tried a few years back as we saw in her Documentary. You can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. It took her overdosing to really wake up. & This is coming from personal experience so no I’m not hating on her at all. I’m glad she’s alive & still making music for herself & everyone around. Also, I’m sure it was a mutual decision to split ways between her team and her. Are you gonna blame her Mom & Sisters? No...

The reason her song sounds so raw in the audio version is because she didn’t want to “perfect” a song that she cried for help in. You hear her pain and emotion through it. She talked about being a perfectionist and she didn’t want to perfect the song to sound perfect. She wanted the raw version so people could see/hear her mindset 4 days before the incident... honestly I applaud her for keeping it raw and not auto tuning/re doing vocals for a perfect track. This for me was one of the best live performances I have seen. And I think because of the nature of the song, lyrics etc how raw and powerful it is that it would have felt wrong to alter it in anyway on the track and is best she sang it raw without any remastering etc. takes a strong person to perform a song so personal like this not just live but as a comeback. Goes to show you don’t truly know what people are facing in their lives. Be kind. For the hate you spread today could have ever lasting effects on someone you know nothing about. There should be no room for hate. She deserved the standing o she got and more. An inspiration to have gone through what would be her darkest days and sharing it with the world.

She did an interview with Zane Lowe and said that the version that got released was one take, 4 days before her overdose. She didn’t retouch it after she returned, because the emotion was too real for her to try to be technical 😩♥️

I watched her documentary. Hollywood kids just have really f***** up lives. She's grown so much as an artist, and seems to have grown as an individual and that's what I admire about her. It's reflected in her music too.

My first time listening to this song was when I was in class with headphones and I clicked it because it popped up like 2 days ago, so I thought "why not" but anyway, as soon as the song started I KNEW i messed up. I was literally in the class just crying and folks were just looking at me like "tf?" Ive been in love with demi FOREVER! And I tend to relate to this song because I'm the oldest of six children and I didnt have a great relationship with my dad because he was sort of like my personal bully. And for the longest I just wanted someone, ANYONE to see that I needed help. And it's just like she walked in my heart & brain with a shopping cart and put it into a song😭😭🖤🖤

This Grammys were really sad, personally I felt a lot of emotions, from Koby Bryant's tribute to Demi's performance, it was really hard to watch her in such a pain. She is a real artist and it breaks my heart to see how many good artists go trough depression, but this proves how strong a person could be, just like Demi. Hope she is better now and this performance was so touching and beautiful ❤👏👏

Demi was The G. O. A. T. at the Grammy's on Sunday💯 I am in awe of her ability to stand up in front of her peers and perform this song that means so much not only to her but to everyone who has been or is still struggling with addiction. I cried the first time I heard the song and I continue to cry every time I hear it still. I can relate to Demi's cry for help in those dark days before her overdose. Thank God she is still with us and gracing us with her beautiful voice ❤️ Stay Strong, Demi ✊🏼 You are a survivor and a warrior 👆

She said "I'm ready to watch the video now" My first thought was... No you're not ajay.... I don't think any of us were 😭. It's such a beautiful song and it just proves that demo is authentic, she's raw, and she's human. Which sometimes we can forget. Great video. I'm excited to see what the future holds for our demi.
