Chet,6/14/2021, just watched, three times, Nicole taking the sheetrock off that wall & I laughed & cried. Watched at least 10 of your videos today & prayed for you & your family.

Like the vlog. You know it is easier to punch the second wall out from behind when it is open on one side. I can’t believe that there were no bathrooms on the second floor. I’m with you Nicole, you need the bathroom on the second flood. Especially if you plan to live there as you grow older. Those nighttime trips to the bathroom get more frequent, and the stars get higher and higher!

Watching you two is like watching Chet and his dad on the farm just you are Chet and he is his dad. Hustle hustle go go go! NO! Slow and steady. 😂

@4:10 one possible reason for those sheets of wood nailed between the studs?: I have done similar to make hanging heavy things like shelves, pictures, TVs etc easier. No more looking for studs. Plus you can hang things wherever you want and not be dependent on only hanging stuff where the studs were. I have also done it in bathrooms and makes hanging towel bars and shelving a breeze.

Wow this was crazy! I am so happy you kids didn't fall through the floor you were cutting out beneath yourselves. Those wood floors look great. I'm sure you can easily sand/stain them later. Can't wait to see more.

Cool you can work together. My wife and I built 2 of our homes from ground up. I use to build homes and do remodeling so it was fun. We did all our own plumbing, electrical and HVAC. she even sided and shingled, I would set her up and away she went. 😎 great job you guys

Nicole, are you a California Surfer Girl with an ah at the end of some of your words? I thought that went out of style in the '60s, long before you were born LOL Chet is a real demolition expert! And a carpenter too! Nichole is a real Tearer when it comes to sheetrock! And in the end..."Peace out!" I'm lovin' the video, and the remodel!

Your only doing this once and if you want the lights in a different place just do it. It's a shame that I am not closer to you I have a sheetrock sander you could use. You could sand the tape job in 10 to 15 minutes and no dust. But I have a lot of tools been doing this for almost 50 years

Rule of 3’ 4’ 5’ for square you measure 3’ along existing wall from inside corner of new plate then measure from same inside corner along new plate 4’ then measure at angle from those two points if it’s 5’ it’s square.

I would reconsider how you are building those walls. I would build them laid down and stand them up.
@3gasman4 жыл бұрын
Too hard to stand the wall up if you build on floor. You would be hitting ceiling before getting wall stood up vertically.
