Guts and Casca’s child (the Moonlight Boy) had no chance from the very beginning and even sadder is the fact that he’s intertwined with Griffith. At least the child isn’t evil by nature or choice but by the actions of another. In fact, the kid helped both Guts and Casca in the story multiple times so there’s some proof right there.

Griffith tainting casca/guts’ child is the same mistake he made in sleeping with the princess after guts left. A move of spite to feel empowered which will lead to his fall from grace

Thank you for making a video dedicated to Moonlight Boy! Moonlight Boy is one of the most tragic characters in the story: an innocent child caught in the middle of this horrific situation like his parents. Not only was he corrupted by that scum Griffith, his soul shares a vessel with him. In the next chapter, who knows how Guts and Casca will react once they learn this truth. Some speculate that he may die since the child is possibly the key to stopping Griffith/Femto, but I hope he can be saved.

The duality of Griffith and the moonlight boy could come in play as Griffith is often referred to as both the hawk of light and darkness. We know that Griffith is the hawk of dark and it could be that the boy is the hawk of light as this duality has been present between guts and Griffith from the start angelic bad guy and black evil looking good guy. Also seeing as he is the most powerful at fullmoon night which is the brightest and only source of light in pure darkness

Personally I figured that the moonlight boy had been connected to Griffith for a while simply because of that majestic look in his eyes the first time he appeared. I never would have guessed that it would be a shared vessel at the very least, the fact that the child takes over Griffiths vessel shows how his own actions continue to work against him. His own poor actions got him imprisoned & tortured. Then because he violated Casca at a pivotal point he set in motion his own demise. Now because of that babies longing to protect his mom and dad he got caught up in Griffiths incarnation and now shares a vessel with him. I compare it to Dio's "destiny" to loose mostly due to they're share opportunistic nature and somewhat greedy tendency.

Can’t help but to feel bad for the little guy and his circumstance. Good thing he’s powerful.

Well it was revealed that Griffith turns into the moonlight child once a month and I honestly think that is the only time Griffith can be killed

Excellent video but some small discrepancies in that Guts’ brand didn’t bleed from having a nightmare about the Demon Child but that he was in a land surrounded by evil spirits which eventually kill the old man and his daughter who he took a ride with on their wagon. Also the Egg of the Perfect World didn’t witness everything the Demon Child went through to save Casca but he emphasized with him in that he saw how he was and as an astral being can feel its pain as well as wanted to bring it into the new world with his resurrection as he viewed Demon Child like him. A being hurt and weakened by the cruelty of the world. Also it was mentioned but could have also been shown of the panel of Guts reminiscing on the Demon Child. It showed that even though Guts realized he saved Casca he wouldn’t have been able to without the son he denounced. Also I really love how Guts, Casca, and Demon Child are just like the relationship of Guts’ childhood with Gambino and Shizu. Demon Child is viewed as a cursed child from birth. Guts being born from the corpse of his mother in the blood and guts of his parent’s villagers and parents themselves. Demon Child cursed and imbued with evil demonic aura in the womb from a cursed horrific ceremony and tragic event as well as being born prematurely. Shizu being mentally ill and eventually dying in front of their child. Casca was regressed to a mentally childlike state as well as could have been killed along with her child from the people going crazy to sacrifice Casca thinking that would save them. Gambino despising and hating Guts and even wanting to kill him. Guts… yeah we saw what he did but he went through a lot to think rationally as well as later on he sort of wishes his child to be well not knowing where they are. I don’t know if Miura did it intentionally to represent how Causality works in like a cycle but damn the parallels are so close and intertwining to each character it’s like he thought ahead of every chapter to link back to his past chapters. Truly phenomenal work and really appreciate how it all worked out together. Thanks for the video and thank you Kentaro Miura for everything you did for us. RIP mangaka master

I disagree with all of this, 1) When Gutsu first sees his child it is at is lowest point. It showed up to give him hope and when he disowned the child it faded away in sadness. 2) Gutsu was being attacked by a succubus in his sleep and his child chased him into a spike that impelled his foot. Thus, Gutsu wakes up and is saved from the succubus. 3) Gutsu is in disparity by what he witnessed and again his child tried to make him feel better by giving him an intact imagine of who was just killed. The child has always been on Gutsu’s side.

That might not "count" as losing one's virginity, but... still... they might not have been actively involved with others due to trauma history, but they weren't completely inexperienced. I think the whole experience of WW2 heavily influenced Japanese manga. Being a child born from enemy assault was extremely traumatic for the children themselves. While in Europe an offspring of rape could often "pass" as a local or family member, it was more common for half-Japanese children to be identified, singled out, and demonized, literally.

I think that could be a reason why Guts couldn't hurt Griffith on the Island because he was reborn from their unborn child. Reason why I think was when Guts was losing control from there berserker armor and went to attack the group, the moonlight child stood in front of them stopping his attack. That's my theory or Griffith become much stronger then the last time they meet on the hill of swords

I dont know much about Berserk but I can assume the Moonlight boy/Demon baby and Griffith connection is like Voldemort and Horcruxes. Griffith is pretty powerful as long as the DC/MB exists. Probably explains why Guts cant hurt it because the DC protects itself. I think Casca will eventually have to end it to give Guts a chance to kill Griffith. The MB/DC will probably realize that only its death can save Casca and Guts thus sacrificing itself.
