Majid Khan - a unique batsman of his time, having amazing bat speed and good hand eye coordination despite not possessing impressive footwork.

in his autobiography Dennis Lille rates Majid Khan as one of the best batsmen he ever bowled to

Majid Khan’s career ended when facing Kapil Dev in Lahore in 1983. He could not put wood to leather against his swing and was out for Zero. That was the last he played and legend has it that his captain Imran Khan(his cousin) and him have never spoken since then.

This was the Golden Era of Pakistan against Australia, as the results of series I putbelow, and Pakistan gave it back yo the Aussies in thier own Backyard 1976-82 76-77 series drawn 1-1 in Aus 79-80 series drawn 1-1 in Aus 80 Pak win 1-0 in Pak 81 Aus win 2-1 in Aus 82 Pak win 3-0 in Pak Imagine what a crap team Pakistan became in Aus after 95 , the last time they won a test there. Since then straight white washes. India on other hand played really well in Aus after 2007, managing to pluck two series wins there.

If you can play like Majid Khan on Australian pitches against Lilie, why you need footwork....And Miandad was one incredible batsman, though I will never forgive him for the Last ball 6 in Sharjah...I still can recollect the scene as it happened yesterday, it still haunts 😒

Yes, Emerson no.1 by far. But McCartney, L Richard, McVie, Mercury, Fagen? Great bands but not great keyboardists. Wakeman ahead of Wright and Manzarek. Thijs van Leer of focus definitely a top 10.

We can say that Javed is smarter cricketers and a grt team player but Gavaskar was having a very sound technique. Both are super cricketers

Well Javed despite being cocky n all during his days , praised Gavaskar more than himself atleast in test cricket , and gave a Salute to Gavasker. Gavasker was better because of one fact , he faced these brutal bowlers as an opener , whereas Miandad was a middle order batsman, Gavasker extinguished the fire of great fiery pace bowlers that do not even exist anymore , 155+ bowlers .. Andy Roberts Garner Marshall Holding Sarfaraz Nawaz ( seam and reverse but fast medium) Imran Khan Wasim Akram Richard Hadlee Bob Willis Neil Foster Ian Botham Jeff Thompson Dennis Lillee Gilmore and I have not even mentioned the list of great spinners then, Truly for me Gavasker was the greatest test opener of all time, and in my book Richards the greatest ever.
