Derby City Classic Straight Pool Challenge 2019
At 25:38, Dennis had to leave to play 9 ball. When that happens we mark the break ball and cue ball, and let them continue their run after their match is over. Usually, they come back out of rhythm, but not Dennis.

what Dennis Orcollo does so well is either following the cue few inches forward or drawing the cue ball back af few inches. He even does this on long shots so effortlessly. Looks easy but we all know it isn't.

This is one of the best str8 pool runs I have seen by a modern young player. He played near perfect patterns and had the white on a string 90% of the time. Orcollo must have spent some time w/some of the older players who showed him how to play patterns and how to manage the end game...using insurance balls, key balls to get to his key balls...perfect on all but one or two of his break shot positions. Bravo! OH - and one more thing - I really appreciated his pace in this run. No stalling - look at the table - make a decision and commit to it...lovely

Thank you for uploading all of these wonderful runs, Dennis. I've been coming to Derby since '05, but this year the event became my favorite (it simply wasn't on my radar in previous years, regrettably) Everyone gunning for the high runs was truly exciting to watch. Your contributions to the sport cannot be overstated.

7:20 he pushes the ball away - and let it simply rebuild. What a great champion

44:50 a perfect shot on the 7 to move the stripe off the rail (the one near the 5) and possibly into a side-pocket key ball position.

Don't think I've ever seen anybody use the extension for break shots. He must think it gives him more power. I might try that.

Why was this run allowed to continue after the bridge touched the balls @7:16?

Probably due to the error was caused by the quality of the equipment not the player. That bridge tip twisted and made the cue fell on the balls.

faulty equipment had been supplied to him by us and we didn't think we should penalize him.

@@MrDmgwalsh Understandable. But they should have consulted the video (like pro snooker does) to respot the balls. They weren't respotted anywhere close to correctly.

@@TallBob1962 Well, unlike professional snooker, none of the workers were paid professionals. All of us donated our time and money, food and lodging and worked 18 hour days to give 100% back to the players. Forgive us if we didn't think to do this, what with the lack of sleep, and in the excitement of the moment. Perhaps whoever picks up the mantle next year to do this event will do it better.
