You told us about you had made a record ( Go now ) & when it would get its first play on the radio, I was in Cannon hill park with my now wife, we had the transistor radio waiting for it. Must have better voice in the day because mecca can still harmonize and play bass better than all these young digitechs that use loops and auto tune because studios don't want to spend money for take after take with all these millennial that can't hold a tune or play for 3 minutes,to get a record done, just sayin, and as far as that goes all the70s rockers, or 70s anything sounds better than anything out today, with no loops or autotune, hell they didn't even have click tracks then ,click track was your drummer in 60sand70s thats why every drummer was good in 6os and 70s,they had to be,they were the, time keepers.Ask Vince gill or McCartney if they use autotune but stand back at least arms length cause you could get slapped up side you head.not really ,they just laughed no but I could use it.Both of them have autotunealfeady in them, they don't need no gadgets to keep them on track.alot of those guys don't even need a tuner for their inst.Go figure that out, most people can even tune abass 4 strings without a tuner hanging off the head somewhere.o well times are changing for sure and so instead ot moving ahead, getting more talented musicians we have a bunch of loopers and auto tuners that sound just like what their doing short cutting.you can't short cut anything and get a better turn out.Pop music was different 20 30 years ago,it use to mean if you hit pop charts you had crossed over to all charts and even grandmothers listen to theBeatles.there isn't anybody i know over 40 that like this new pop .not to many 40year olds listening to any kind of so called pop, like everything else pop means something different today than the the day they invented that category. If they don't put you somewhere your called Americana, thats everyone from america, isn't it.so Aerosmith could fall under Americana im not just dazed and confused im just old and confused im sure glad I grew up when music was real.you go out and see a band with loops and auto tune and they think they got it all down, take that away and you'll see why they need it.probably just answered my own questions could you imagine Brittany or Katy perry or the Montana girl, cyris singing without auto tune, yes so l guess some people need it,even t swizzle uses autotune and she is one of the most talented songwriters wheather you like her or not,I personally wouldn't gosee any of these posters if they were plying on the green in my town for free

I was thinking about Wings earlier. Do you reckon Paul McCartney teamed up with Denny because his name rhymes with Penny Lane? Coincidence? Omen??

When I talk about Wings as a band, I mean their partnership, not friendship. Paul allowed them to express themselves in the interests of their own project. But in the late 70s, he decided to start a solo career again, invented a scandal in Japan to increase sales of the failed Back To The Egg, deprived the band of the opportunity to tour and earn good money. A similar picture was in 1969, when Paul decided to leave. In both cases, he was not worried about the further fate of the partners. And now he goes to interviews and claims that he wrote Michelle alone, that the melody of In My Life belongs to him and that he wrote Strawberry Fields with John. Probably because the level of Wings songs is not up to the level of the Beatles.

Lonnie's mother was Irish , his father Scots . He was born in Scotland but moved to London when he was two , he grew up in England . Lonnie is considered a British artist . He did not chart well in the US , his biggest hits were chewing gum in 1959 , a personal favorite , and Rock island line in 55 . Most in the US do not remember him , except Chewing gum , but he was a Super Star in the UK !

Yes Denny Laine worked with Paul McCartney for years, PM gave Denny 100Pounds a week, for years and years, When Denny asked for a Rise in pay Paul Sacked him. Yep Paul McCartney great songs (With help from others) But a really mean person. He came over here to NZ, & sacked half his crew for eating a Hamburger???? Yep Up himself

Denny was paid more than 100 , about $1400 USD in todays money . Other band members starting out were paid this , Denny also earned royalty money and other compensation . Denny left the group after the bust in Japan . Paul is a long time animal rights activist so no surprise he fired crew who did not follow his request , and smuggled in meat backstage . Paul looks great from his diet , still young and spry !
