I had a tooth that ended up super rotted inside because I walked out during a procedure (severe needle phobia and they injected me with no warning). I thought the new dentist I saw would have to pull it because you could literally see black inside the tooth but luckily the bottom half was fine so they just did a root canal and slapped a crown on it. It makes me wonder how someone could deal with a tooth decayed enough to fall apart, you have to been in a pretty bad place mentally and/or physically to just live with that kind of pain.

so, im 21 years old. have had many dental procedures (braces obv, temporary implant, teeth extractions, using a chain to pull a tooth out through the gums) and despite all this work, i never had motivation to brush my teeth because i was mentally in a bad place from 15 to 19. and guess what? i have definitely paid for it. i have 3 decaying teeth that i can barely afford to get fixed.
