While there’s a lot being discussed, there’s still uncertainty about where this new administration is heading when it comes to addressing homelessness in Denver.

10 years ago the guy in charge of homeless services made 30;000 he now makes 350,000 dollars dude should be in prison

Exactly…it has become a business now. These “advocates” all do it for pay and the homeless are still the ones suffering living in tents. This is a humanitarian crisis and people are profiting off to it. SMH…so sad.

you bet.... hickenlooper took the money for shelters and aid and diverted it to other scams beneficial to his other buddies, like Bennett, Hancock. Bill Ritter did similar.

That is a sweeping generalization if I ever heard one. Dems don’t necessarily love it, but they are generally more empathetic to persons who are suffering. GOP/party of Trump/republicans have no answer to any of this either. I have not heard one policy from the t right on how to address this situation. My guess is that they would send them off to some sort of camp where they can starve or kill one another. That seems to be their way of dealing with other’s suffering.

Increase property, and sales tax to help provide safe places for the homeless.

A few years ago the voter of Denver agreed to increase sales tax to help with this issue. The money has not been used for that at all. Where is all that money going? I suspect it went to the previous administration’s coffers.

There is a diffrence between homeless and misplaced. A misplaced person won't be burden, they'll better their situation. A homeless person chooses that life, in the sence that they won't better their situation. I'm skeptical about helping a person that doesn't want the help. Besides, Denver keeps finding ways to make Denver to expensive to help... At least with time and or money.

Poverty is a policy choice by out of touch rich Corp owned politicians. Never forget that and there's always $$$ for the rich and corporations to give tax cuts to. Selling realestate to foreign govts don't help either price gouging on property rents etc.
