I understand where you're coming from but when you think about it just isn't possible. Most gods in the Persona series are manifestations of a collective consciousness, Izanami was the collective desire for ignorance to the truth, Yaldabaoth was the desire for control and Nyarlathotep Is the desire for manipulation. Theoretically Maruki could defeat these gods because the only reason why they're in power is because of a human collective, All he needs to do is change the human desire and these gods can't come into power. The only exception to this rule is Nyx Because she isn't a human desire or a collective of consciousness, She is the embodiment of death. Not figuratively, rhetorically or metaphorically, Nyx is just death herself. No matter how much you try to prevent her, She is the god that everyone will meet after they die. It's the only reason why Nyx Is by far (to my knowledge) is the only God in the extended smt universe that has not been killed when their the antagonist of the game because it's impossible to kill death. It's the reason why you were only allowed to seal her away, she is integral to the life cycle of the universe and as such you cannot avoid her. Maruki at his Pinnacle power can try to manipulate the human desire to not wish death. But at the end of the day Nyx is inevitable, She will always come in the end and he cannot beat her

@@lostkingdom266 P3, P4, and P5 all take place on the same timeline. P4G (epilogue), which is the latest point we see Yu, takes place in September of 2012. In conclusion, Yu would be around 22 when the events of Strikers happen (August of 2017).

palaces definitely have gimmicks, they're just more fun and less noticeable, personally I think saying the dungeons are trash is an overexaggeration, they're definitely not the best but I honestly don't hate them as much as other people do, yeah they're pretty annoying and mundane but that's it

Nyx? No. Erebus? Uh maybe. If he could move fast enough to change everyone’s cognition to no longer wish for death. Problem with that is he’d have to move really really really fast. Nyx herself is a being outside of the collective unconscious and isn’t some being conjured up by their cognition like Yaldabaoth, Izanami, or any of the others. She can’t be beaten. Only kept at bay.

Merciless is actually easier then Hard since they X2 your damage. Hard is usually the Hardest mode since it’s the most damage reduction on bosses without giving you any buffs or help.

If Doc had control of Reality before the Experiments that made Death then yes. Technically, he could stop Nyx from returning because in The Answer we learn why the seal was really needed. If he was around then Elizabeth could have saved our boy and the Doc could have given him a new body if she could only save his soul from the seal. But as Nyx was decending? No, I think he couldn't win that fight.

Unrelated to the video but can someone explain to me the limits of healing powers in the persona series when it comes to the story compared to the games? Like with yukari for example. It’s obvious there are limits to her healing abilities but I’m not sure what they are specifically.

Well the limit is base on you own life force as the method of healing is very complicated as if you know Soul Hackers 2 they tells us how ressurection work in Devil Summoners in term extended to Persona as the two series are in the same world as i continue about the healing its not the physical body that you are healing but the soul as the body just follow what the soul is current condition so that is why to ressurect a person you need to return its soul back to the body as in Chidori's case spoilers . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . She use her own soul to fill up Junpei's dying body which kills her for giving it her all

Persona 4's dungeons really are just knock-offs of the levels from BlazBlu; Yu is just Diet Jinn, and yes I'd pay for the figurine game collection of Persona 1 and 2 if Atlus made those games on all Platforms instead of being solely exclusive to the PSP.

I know this is an old comment, but the take is technically correct. Just not for the reasons that you'd think. Maruki had the power to override a person's cognition which would be the exact type of ability needed to stop Nyx. In The Answer we learn that the reason Nyx causes the Fall is because mankind's subconscious desire for death takes the form of Erebus and Erebus joins with Nyx the Fall will occur. Using his ability to change cognition, Maruki could potentially make the entire world not subconsciously with for death. Thus preventing Erebus's creation and with Erebus permanently destroyed the Fall will never occur.
