I just micro needled on accident at 3mm with a derma stamp. Set it at full length to clean and forgot to turn it down before starting. I did one pass in hairline before I realized. I only stamped once in each area at that depth. Will one time damage my hair?

Hello Dr Azi, I used 2.5 - 3mm dermapen on my scalp 4-5 times a year ago. I am worried because when I look at my scalp, my scalp looks patchy. Also, hair tends to fall out in clumps every single day and it grows really slow. Have I permanently damaged my hair follicles and roots. Will it grow back? Please let me know. Thank you!

I dermarolled over hair transplanted very shallow. 1mm. A 1.5 roller did damage and thin out the area. There is nothing on a he internet about this but it can happen

Thanks Dr. Would you recommend a microneedling depth of 0.25 mm daily as a way to sort of infuse the daily use of minoxidil and finestride in to avoid damaging the scalp and follicles? Maybe just going to the 1.5 biweekly or monthly to maintain skin integrity? Thoughts?

does microneedling for the scalp only work for hair growth only when it's combined with a topical solution? or is there a benefit in and of itself for hair growth?
@advancexo_official
@advancexo_official Ай бұрын
Microneedling might offer some benefits for hair growth on its own, but for better results, it's often recommended in combination with other hair loss treatments. One of the best options available today is exosomes. It is a natural way to promote hair follicle stimulation that leads to hair growth with thick, voluminous hair.

I used microneedling device derminator on my face. It damaged my skin, a lot of permanent scratch marks and lots of areas where it removed prior existing facial hair. Will the beard hair recover or is it now lost permanently ?…

I used the derminator 2 on my scalp and have several spots of thinning thanks to it. This happened mid April, and now we’re fresh into August, yet still no hair recovery. If the doc sees this comment, my question is, if regrowth were to occur, what would the estimated timeframe be?

I’m having the same thing going on with my face and my hair (patches of hair no longer growing on my beard, and spots on my scalp where I have had much further thinning). What depth were you using on both, just out of curiosity? Have you reached out to OwnDoc by any chance, who made the thing?
@Recep007

they were completely unfriendly when I reached out. Accusing me of misusing the device, it not being possible, so on. I immediately distanced myself from them and wrote a trustpilot review to warn others. Where they also replied to make me look incompetent and blame it on me. I was pretty baffled by that attitude. I no longer believe the lost beard hair will recover. It’s like with scars, the hair is just gone. I will never be able to grow out my beard again, as it is pretty much damaged to the point of no return. Not only countless patches, but also the way they grow out changed. It feels uncomfortable even, wearing the beard now, not just visually, it’s hard to explain out of the top of my head. Shaving also feels more uncomfortable now. Wish I didnt jump on the hype train. I used the recommended setting for hair, started 0.5 and went up to 1 or 1.5mm at times. For beard I used 0.25 to up to 0.5mm. Luckily the scratch marks managed to heal with time and look less visible now. Though sucks for my beard, always wanted to wear one , well I accepted it by now. With time it doesn’t get better but you start to care less and deal with it. It is what it is. Unfortunate though.

@@Recep007 That Derminator device sounds f*cked up if multiple people are saying it has caused damage. You never hear other brands like the Dr. Pens causing this kind of perm damage. Wow.

I microneedled my hairline to try and grow more hair but I think it actually damaged the hair around my hairline. Can I grow that hair back if so, can it come back naturally?

I’ve done the same to my hair from using a derma roller, and this has made it worse. So I’m also wondering if I can repair it. I was recommended a derma pen with a 1.5mm deep.❤

@@createinnerpeace3199I have been wondering the same thing I have very thin hair on the top of my head if I start using the Derma hen does it actually cut the existing hair off because it's striking the hair as you roll it along? Have you got any kind of answering to that? I'm afraid that if I do that I'm going to lose a little bit of hair that I have on the very front top of my hairline

What device & settings did you use to cause the damage? a Roller or a pen? What length needles? How often? What products did you use in conjunction? Did you sanitise your equipment before use? All this things if not carefully managed, will probably cause damage. Do your research before commencing with this stuff.

@@LindaWisdomphotography the thing i never went on my actual scalp, only around my hairline and it was a .5 microneedle roller twice a week for like two weeks, i rinsed it off with water beforehand. i did do research on it and some people said rinse with water, some said twice a week was okay. my hair is only thinning in one spot though, so i dont understand.

@@mr.burgess2575 It does, but if you’re doing it at home don't use a derma roller. Get a derma pen/stamp, they have adjustable lengths, disposable pin cartridges (so less chance of infection, always sharp), and rollers often chop off hair. Thinning hair means thinning skin, so you have to find a good length for your scalp, start at 0.5mm and you can work your way up, as long as there is no pain, to a max 1.5mm. If you go too deep you can permanently damage your hair follicles. Also give yourself enough time to heal between treatments, so start every month, two weeks, or once a week at max.

@@sarfaraz.hosseinigood to know. My hair is very thin on top and I am so worried that the pins will actually cut the hair as it moves along. Did you find any of that at all?
