Who would’ve thought that a film series about so-called ‘despicable’ characters would
end up being so popular? Since the franchise began in 2010, “Despicable Me” has taken
the world by storm. With two sequels, a spinoff series, several shorts and a ton of

16:26 Actually Vector Perkins is quite possibly the smartest person in the entire franchise. Not only has he managed to pull off two of the greatest crimes in the history of the world, but he managed to develop technology that can keep hundreds of piranhas and squid alive inside of a firearm. Not to mention whatever he did to keep his great white shark alive and thriving in captivity. These feats, plus his innovative "flight suit" that even sustains life in space, point to Vector being a hyper-intelligent person. His only downfall is his father. Vector's efforts have always been to impress his dad, Mr. Perkins, the stern CEO of the Bank of Evil. This leads to Vector sometimes making poor decisions and bragging about his successes. As for the ending of Despicable Me, do you really think that his father would allow his only son to be stranded on the moon? No. Though he is difficult to please, Mr. Perkins loves his son, as can be seen through the framed photo of him with his son when he was a boy, funding his son's exploits, and giving him rare opportunities at succeeding in becoming the world's greatest villain. Mr. Perkins would likely send a rocket to return him to earth, or at least send food and supplies for survival on the moon. Vector is very intelligent, very perceptive, very dangerous, very charming, very funny, and, in terms of ranking, blows all of the other villains out of the shark tank with both direction and magnitude. I can agree that Vector can be intelligent, but his brains is balanced out by his own foolishness and overall incompetence. He got duped by Gru very easily, his child like personality got him in a lot of trouble with his father, and even a few of his so called inventions and weapons are completely useless in battle, they're imaginative but they're still useless. Vector also relies mostly on his dad's money and power to pull off all his greatest schemes which makes him almost too easy to defeat on his own.

Nefario could actually be argued to be in the "bad" tier. From an unbiased perspective (not from that of the protagonists), he's pretty much a villian, and even tried to *_brutally sabotage the planet alongside El Macho._*

I'd argue that El Macho is more evil than Vector since his ambition is even bigger and he is much more destructive also he's actually competent on his own

Definitely, he also could have faked his "good guy" persona to keep eyes off him, and in the mall heist scene he intended to kill whoever broke into his restaurant, keep in mind that he didn't realize it was Gru and Lucy

I definitely would switch Brat and Scarlet because it seems that Scarlet cares for Herb and possibly had a very bad upbringing, which may have lead her down the path of villainy and made her who she is today. I’d take the wolf in the “bed time story” as her, and that the wolf’s back story is her own. As they seem to line up, being constantly bullied and scrutinized by those around her probably made her this way. Always wanting to be the best and not wanting people to steal her spotlight. Let’s not forget at the end she felt so distraught over losing everything and seemed closed to crying, but when Bob gave her the tiny crown she looked generally moved and grateful. If she was truly so bad she would have cursed young Gru and thrown the crown right back at Bob or even destroyed it. However brat, well sympathetic (maybe) is definitely petty. Sure he’d lost his fame and people where no longer interested in him, but no one was like making fun of him and he didn’t go into poverty

To be honest, I whole heartedly agree. I would argue that Bratt being so horrendously petty makes him more evil, since you'd have to be a pretty nasty person to do stuff like that for so little reason. I also agree that it does seem like Scarlet loves her husband, although that could possibly be as contractual as her affection for the minions.

I agree with you. Scarlet seemingly cares about her husband, and it’s very possible she had a bad childhood because she built a villain empire when she was only 13. She was grateful when Bob gave her his crown. I actually don’t even think she is in the top 3 for most evil Illumination villains And if you’re wondering what my top 3 is, here it is 3. Jimmy Crystal 2. Balthazar Bratt 1. Belle Bottom (She is even more petty than Balthazar Bratt and doesn’t have any reason for being evil, she was willing to kill children, and you don’t sympathize with her at all when she’s defeated.)

Antonio and the amusement park employee were pretty minor characters, and since they get so little screen time it would be really hard to rank their morality. I agree that Mr. Perkins should have been on the list, and I really was expecting him to be.

I feel like they placed Vector higher because El Macho showed more good qualities. El Macho is shown to love his son and pet chicken along with being nicer to talk to. Vector seems to have a good relationship with his dad and likes cookies but that's about it from what I remember.

Honestly, Gru should’ve been placed in the Grey Area in my opinion since he (just like Dru, Dr. Nefario and the Minions) switches sides since he starts off as a villain, but later redeems himself and becomes a hero in the first film, stayed redeemed/heroic in the second film and then in the third film, he went back to his villainy, but later redeems himself and becomes a hero again.

Don’t get me wrong, they are great but the problem is that they procrastinate peoples request(I get it but they focus a lot on their favorite things which is Family Guy, American dad, and etc) but for this video I’ve been waiting since like 1 to 1 1/2 years. It gets a little repetitive using the same soundtracks every video but I love the listings and rankings. I also love the thoughts as well. Not saying they are terrible but they should really adjust some things, and improve. Like they post videos like one video per 2 days.
