I agree to me this song is the Queen preparing her armies for battle with a stirring speech, the song following this describes the first attack and later Monochrome seems to be the aftermath of the battle and looking to rebuilding, at least that is what I am getting so far but there is still a lot of this story to be told so I may well be way off lol.

I had the great fortune to be able to be at Makuhari Messe for both of the live shows where this was recorded on the 28th and 29th of January. Needless to say, being there for the live performance was even more spectacular than the video can convey. It was easily the best concert I have ever been to. If you ever get the chance to go to Japan and see Babymetal, do it. You will not regret it. It's one for the bucket list. Possibly the most exciting development to come out of the shows was the (we think) revelation that a new permanent third member of Babymetal will be revealed at the upcoming shows in Yokohama on April 1st (Fox Day) and April 2nd, so fans are furiously speculating about who the new metal will be. The popular frontrunner for the position is Avenger Momoko, who has been the sole Avenger for the last 29 live shows, because the show is in Kanagawa prefecture, which is Momoko's home province, and they usually like to do these kinds of big events in the performer's home town. Of course, Koba could throw us a curveball, since he likes to be unpredictable. OTFGK.

Nice one, thanks! I'm physically and emotionally unable to wait to get a new BABYMETAL song once I know it has been released. 😁 And yes their live performances are top notch. World class level. I need to see them in a big stage like this Japan. But first, I will catch them on their tour across Europe in few months. I know it will be something way smaller and not even headlining but I'm so exited about that... mainly because it will be my first time seeing them live.

This will be the opening track on the album being released 24th March - and of course they used it as the epic and theatrical opening number for their concerts (their first in nearly 2 years) last weekend at the Makuhari Messe (two nights, both sold out 25k people each night) - that was where this was filmed.🤘🦊🤘We will have to wait for the DVD to get the live audio I think, this video was released within a week of the concerts where it was filmed, so it makes sense for them to have used the studio audio. From the other songs they have released and the snippets of the other songs on the album I have heard it does feel to me like, aside from whatever the concept is, they are highlighting Su-metal's vocals. I don't know if you noticed there were 3 thrones? At the end of the concert on Sunday night they teased there may be a new third member to be revealed in their next concerts on 1st and 2nd April.

Nathan, I'm very happy you have returned to the world of Babymetal, and also happy that you are 'schooling" Jen on them as well. The more fans, the merrier. There are two more songs to drop before Babymetal's new album is released on 24 March. There are also two more live performances in Japan, on 1 and 2 April, before they join Sabaton and Lordi for a 24-show trek across Europe and the UK. So, expect more epic performances to be coming soon. I feel this is going to be Babymetal's "real" breakout year, where they finally get the respect they deserve. I think this album is going to launch them into the stratosphere. Anyway Nathan, besides all that, it is good to have you back.
