Bungie had little hints of cosmic horror in Halo but Destiny goes all the way. The Covenant are an otherwise normal alien empire, but the factions under the Darkness are all but unstoppable. The Cabal already lead an interstellar imperium with ships larger than worlds, the Hive are numerous beyond reckoning and fuelled by incomprehensible power, the Vex homesystem is one massive fleetmind that exists beyond the bounds of time and space, and the Fallen may be a window into humanity’s future if the City were to fall. At least in Halo, humanity had a vast military to fight off the Covenant, but all the City has is a bunch of magically-powered warriors.

Then our guardian comes along. And whoops ass for... well... because, I guess. Nothing like seeing a full raid fireteam going into a strike just to get demolished.

Dregs eating children is even more disturbing when you consider why. Kells often hoarded Ether and Dregs could rarely get any, so they had to eat something to survive.

Drifter: smarmy douche bag that plays both sides. Also Drifter: died of starvation multiple times. Gets rezzed by his Ghost each time. Still starving.

I truly feel like Destiny could go down as one of the greats alongside Halo. The devs have just screwed so much up with sunsetting whole expansions and crap. New players will never know and feel connected to Cayde 6, they won't know who the crap Calus was, unless they watch a my name is byf vid.

I do understand why they decided to sunset things, it helps ease the load on the game. To clarify, I mean pure size. Or they could’ve tried the Ark route and said “screw it, 200 gigs it is” but that would have probably led to a overall player drop off. Another option would’ve been to make a D3 using the DLC content instead, but I can’t imagine how much getting new servers so the old ones in D1 and 2 can keep running. Cause shutting them down for D3 would basically still be sunsetting. I’d personally have preferred if they at least left in a watered down campaign. But then quite a few cutscenes would probably get cut to save on time and space Overall, I get why they did it. And it was the correct move if their goal was to manage the size of the game with minimal costs. But I am sad about the content that’s gone now.

0:18 who is this woman? And was that Lord Saladin rushing towards her? I'm assuming its one of the Iron Lords (thought it was Lady Efrideet but I guess thats not what she looks like. Alternatively I now know she was a hunter and not a titan like I always imagined)

Thats Lady Jolder, a former Iron Lord, and the other is indeed Saladin. Before the events of Destiny 1 (The Dark Age), the Iron Lords were looking for something to help humanity reach another Golden Age. They found something promising inside one of Rasputins bunker called SIVA, nanotechnology that could allow them to build structures for shelter and such, but Rasputin thought them as intruders and used SIVA as a defense mechanism, killing all but 2 Iron Lords for good

@@Devilsruinguy When ghost brake guardian go night night permanently. What do you thing the wipe screen implies, that your guardian mysteriously went back to the latest checkpoint for no reason? (also siva could easily destroy humanity if Lady jolder didn't sacrifice herself, the final bossfight of the rise of iron made me tear up a bit.)

@@vacuous1331 Im still a bit unsure of what can kills ghosts cause in forsaken the bullet the rifleman shot was a special thorn bullet and if you could just shoot a ghost and kill it then why did the cabal use light suppressing ammo instead of just killing Zavala’s ghost I know we can just kill hive ghost but I assume that it’s because a because they are hive corrupted of because gaurdians seem to be able to kill ghost without special ammo or anything such as dreggen yor and the man with the golden gun I forgot his actual name
