I wanted to understand the process but I struggled initially understanding this video without subtitles and because some medical terms were unknown to me. Therefore, I listened to this video again and again, googled everything and wrote the process. I Hope this helps someone like me to understand better. Biocore & Epic Stented Porcine Valves Manufacturing: Leaflets -Aortic root is open after it is detached from the porcine heart -Right coronary leaflet is avoided because of the muscle bar -Single best leaflet is selected from each root and removed -Only one leaflet is taken from each root for quality -Tissue is washed in a proprietary solution -inspected for tissue quality & subjected Bio-burden testing -selected valve leaflet receives additional trimming, precise sizing before undergoing a fixation process in a low-pressure solution -leaflets are sorted by corresponding valve size -3 separate leaflets are selected and precisely match Stent -Flexible low-profile polymer stent is being produced; this is a foundation for a finished valve. -provides seal tight delivery and reduces stress on leaflets 2 type of material for Suture friendly sawing cuff 1. polyester type yarn used for standard aortic and mitral valves. 2. molded silicone filler is used for suture valves helps provide a unique shape. -A stainless steel wire is applied to the outside diameter of each stent to add in visualization after implantation. stent is completed using polyester fabric. -Leaflets are then sutured into the stent and inspected. -Bovine pericardial strip is also sutured to the out close side of the valve to mitigate the risk of operation by providing tissue to tissue interface as the leaflets open. After the assembly Inspected again. -Stented porcine valves functionally tested in ??? -gradient of each valve as well as the coaptation of a leaflet in the close position are measured precisely. -Similarity b/w Biocore valve and Allograft valve demonstrate of nature of functioning of biocore leaflets and the redundant tissue of the leaflet edge which adds in coaptation. -Valve holder is attached and visually inspected. -Valve undergoes in final rinse and multi component sterilization process before being transferred to the stored solution. -Epic valve with Linx AC technology undergoes in multistep anticalsification treatment. 99% calcification reduction technology -Final sterility batch test is performed and each packaged valve undergoes a hermetic seal vacuum test. Visual inspection. Document verification. Final Packaging. Ship.
