I finally got my hands on the Adam's Pro Series Electric Pressure Washer. In the description on the Adam's website this unit claims 1800psi and over 2 gpm with the nozzles that it comes with... I put this unit through the paces and find out what the real usable psi and gpm are. ENJOY!

So I bought this machine and it arrived a few days ago. I used it this morning and it is easily the nicest unit I have ever used. Coming from a Ryobi 2300 the Adams pro is silent with instant pressure - can barely hear it over the sound of the water being sprayed. I used the coupon and got the discount so not so bad but easily the last pressure washer I will need to buy. It is heavy so moving around is not the easiest thing. I purchased a cart for it and to organize everything so it is easy to move around and cleans up all the clutter with everything being contained to the cart. Thanks for reviewing it, it was just like what I saw except the one I received was packaged better than in the video.

Commenting late. But you should do the lock ring trick and retest. If you remove the pressure regulator cap, there is a set screw you can back out that will allow you to increase the pressure even more. The more pressure you can get out of it will allow you wiggle room for a higher orifice. On mine, I peaked 2000-2100 psi and then dropped it down to 1100 psi with a 4.0 orifice and got over 2gpm.

It definetly classifies as professional as it seems to have a triplex plunger pump as opposed to the wobble plate pump pretty much every regular pressue washer comes with. These are definetly more robust and offer more continues run time as opposed to the regular pumps.

Great video. I called and ordered it today! Thank you. It is hard to express how happy I am with this video, but let me tell you, I literally watched it and made the decision immediately. the selling points were the quality, the cage, the completeness of the kit, the automatic on-off, the 14 amps draw (Awesome), and especially how QUIET it was. My AR and Greenworks are both in the 82-88 decibel level range. I used the Memorial Day code, 20% and the total came to $862. I get it Monday! Thanks again

Good review. IMO, considering the lower side of psi, and medium/high side gpm, the only benefit seems to be how quite it is. The build quality seems nice too. Around 800$ just seems crazy when switching nozzles on machines half the price could hit those numbers. It’s still nice, I just find it overpriced.

Thanks for the review. Seems pretty good, but mostly for professionals, which I am not. This would be just too big and bulky for me to easily move around at home, and the numbers it puts out aren't any better than some of the smaller, lower cost units out there. I still think I made a better choice going with the Active VE52 for my use case scenario. It does seem to be a robust, and really well built machine though, and Adams has 20% off (or greater) sales on pretty much a monthly basis, so one can easily get this for under the $899 MSRP.

We have this pressure washer at our shop and love it. We previously had an AR Blue 630 that lasted for about 4 years, and then briefly a comet 1700 and prefer the Adam's over both of them. It seems very well built, has great output and above all is very quiet. I would heartily recommend the Adam's if you are looking at pressure washers in the $800 range. It seems they have just raised the price to $999 but you can usually get a 20% off code fairly easily. Just wanted to put this out there for those in the market. The AR Blue 630 is great too if you are tight on space but is quite a bit noisier and requires a 20 amp outlet.
@fillflashdetailer8838
@fillflashdetailer8838 Жыл бұрын
I have an AR 630 now, and I really appreciate the tight form factor and overall performance. This Adam's unit is just far too large with an enormous amount of wasted space in its design. There is no reason for it to be as big as it is. If price is an issue, I'd recommend looking at the AR BC 675 at Clean Garage. That unit puts out 2,000 psi and 1.7 GPM in a package about half the size of this monstrosity.

Renter item to trunk with new code. It is a time limited offer and can only be used one time. So I suggest if you haven’t been sent one before, this is a great suggestion for a big purchase. I’m trying to get a mobile setup up an running, I see all the comments about the higher cost of the unit, but looking at it, Adams includes close to $300 worth of extra features and products, on their website the package includes the wand $60, upgraded hoses another $40-$60, Adams foam canon which is $70. Plus a lot of their Adams mega foam and soaps, definitely over $150 In soaps. I know my prices maybe a little off.. but considering these factors would you say this would be a better entry level then the AR blue?

Hey if you buy two pressure washers you could duct tape the handles together to double your gpm while keeping psi the same. OR take one pressure washer, tape a 2nd hose to the spray wand so the water pours out right in front of the pressure washer nozzle. The high pressure, high speed water will hit the free flowing hose water and accelerate it towards the car you're spraying, giving you the ultimate gpm pressure washer. What about the water inlet pressure? Does that have any effect on the pressure washer pressure and gpm? Could you "boost" the inlet pressure going into the pressure washer?

@TiMeToRn-
@TiMeToRn- 10 ай бұрын
If you increase psi, with all other variables being the same, including exit diameter etc, then your GPM is going to go up. There are charts and calculators for this all over the place online. I think all these pressure washers will have a maximum flow rate, even wide open with no nozzle, you will get more gpm from just a regular hose. They will probably scale logarithmically, with gpm/psi. If you put your pressure gauge on the outlet, and a valve after the pressure gauge, you can probably chart gpm/psi on a graph for each pressure washer, and maybe find some washers that perform better than others on gpm, only at specific psi. You could graph them now with just the numbers you already have from measuring psi and gpm with different tips. You could plot multiple pressure washers on a line graph too, just go back to your old videos to get the information and punch them into some graphing software, or free graphing website/app. There might be some interesting information there. I wonder if they would all scale linearly.

that Adam's 2.0 washer is legit. it comes with everything you need, so I don't mind paying 300 for it. I specd out a active v52 and it came out to about the same or more... 🤷‍♂️

Great review! Although your pressure gauge is reading lower because of friction loss through the hose. That’s where your loosing your pressure and probably not a difference between gauges. So if you have a longer hose you will lose more pressure
@kirbyschneider4187
@kirbyschneider4187 2 жыл бұрын
200 psi in friction loss is bit odd. 10-50 psi I could see, but not 200-300.

What size of the orfis for the nozzle is ideal for car wash
@imjoshv

Depends on the machine… but I like a 40 degree angle. The orifice size is just the whole and sets the psi and gpm so it depends on what pressure washer you’re using

Josh, how has that plastic filter been holding up, I like the unit other than that… seems like a major failure point in the entire system if it’s proprietary. I read lots of reviews where people say they like this unit.. but if I’m spending close to $1000 on this, I’ll spring for the extra $$200-$300 for a kranzle

I know you said you're mounting this in your truck for your mobile jobs, is there a reason you didn't go with another Active? They have a mountable version as well and you could have bought 3 of them for the price of this one. If you didn't already have all of the hoses, wands, etc I see that being a huge plus as it likely saves you another $100-150, but I agree with @timmytot666 that the Active seems a better value.

honestly i just really wanted to test this unit out haha! Since i have it im going to use it. Its definitely more industrial grade than the active so im assuming it will last even longer

It may been a great electric pressure washer but I really don't think at that price it can compete with a Graco 3700 psi @ 2.7 gpm gas pressure washer that I payed $895 for that is designed for commercial use.

$1000 for that this whole time I’ve been waiting to see how much psi the senior actually puts out got tired of waiting so I went to the website and it only puts out 1800 psi for that big bad thing heck no I’m looking for the strongest electric pressure washer I absolutely hate gas and I’m not dealing with it. I have a septic line that I need to blow out and I’ve got neighbors that complain about noise so I need a minimum of a true 3500 psi coming out of my Jetter tip for my septic pressure washer hose or higher if I could get a pressure washer that’s electric Punching out 5000 to 8000 psi that’s probably what it’s gonna take but they probably don’t even make anything up to 4000 psi

Seems like they severely limited their market with this design choice. Weighing in at 100lbs and taking up such a large footprint, I'm guessing this is almost strictly for shop detailers? The Kranzle K1622TS is considered stout at 60lbs, and takes up much less space
@jcto6013
@jcto6013 2 жыл бұрын
It weighs around 65 pounds out of the box. I am not sure where the 100 pounds nonsense is coming from that Adam's is advertising... maybe it's the package weight. I suspect the roll cage is to keep everything protected during shipping.

Roy, get the active. It has great gpm and is one third the price of Adam's machine. Of course you will add a better hose and nozzle so that upgrade will be about another 80-90 bucks. Still all of that is under 350

It is true that people see numbers like PSI and GPM and compare those to cheap or “decent” pressure washers on the market and assume this is a rip off. However, Adam’s Polishes specializes in quality and quality has been shown in the video. The quality will also be shown over time since it’s built to last and handle many many vehicles. Usually standard electric pressure washers within the $100-200 range have approximately 100 hours runtime. This one is built to last years
