Yeppers...extraction is my personal favorite. But this vehicle doesn’t have much carpet, so... but the steaming and scrubbing of the muddy floor boards was really cool.

Who knows? That would be so creepy to have a robot detail our cars 😱 but we never thought we would have “robots” perform surgery and they do
@timhanby5662

If They have fully automated car painting robots, I’m sure they’ll have one that can do this too. Sadly. But it won’t be in mainstream use so that’s good :)
@heyitsrose5504
@heyitsrose5504 4 жыл бұрын
Maybe you guys are right but I doubt it. It takes heart and brain to do as good of a job as he did in this video. I would jump over the moon if a robot could do everything he did, as thoughtful and as fast if not faster than he did in this video. I mean he gets every nook and cranny. And some vehicles are way more dirtier than others. Robots have to be programmed to do exactly what it’s programmed to do. Will it actually think “Oh I’m going to do 4 more passes cause this carpet doesn’t look as clean as it should.” I can’t realistically imagine it. As far as performing surgery goes some operations are straight forward and simple to where I do think a robot can be programmed to follow exact procedure. Doctors themselves are kinda like robots in the way that they are trained if you ask me. As far as robots painting cars that’s super simple and straight forward. Program a robot to know different designs and such. Easy. But every vehicles messiness is different. To be able to detail any vehicle and get amazing results like the guy in this video that robot or those robots will need to be updated incredibly often and they would need assistance. No one can convince me a robot could do this good of a job. I can’t imagine a robot unscrewing the seats and removing the seats all by itself like this man.
@timhanby5662
@timhanby5662 4 жыл бұрын
Rose Berri don’t know about surgeries either lol, everyone is internally built and structured differently and it takes human eyes to differentiate and find the correct places to make incisions or remove Tumors and plac screw in plates etc, I think we’re still quite a way off from robotic surgeries, given the fact everyone’s different and in a different circumstance. Car detailing too, probably not worth spending the money on. Better to leave surgeries and detailing to the HUMAN professionals. ;)

@@TomDoesDetails It's a Jeep, brother, spray on!!!! Hahaha. No, seriously, the amount of water that you use works perfectly fine on the inside of a Jeep (and a few other vehicles). However, I wouldn't use water/detergents the same way on luxury vehicles, but you know your stuff and I know you wouldn't do it either. Great job!!!

You could definitely benefit from a 1 inch and 3 inch pad for the smaller areas but hey, a hand polish does give a really nice finish, while maybe not as uniform as a buffer could achieve. But then again it’s probably not a concours job the owner is looking for so hats off for using a more traditional technique that I pretty much never see on KZfaq all while achieving a fantastic result! Great job and keep up the good work.

Great video, the Jeep turned out beautiful!! I would suggest a separate bucket and mitt with use on wheels and wheel wells. This way you don't introduce metal from the brake pads to the paint. You'll never get all the particles out of the mitt so the next vehicle will get scratches from the brake pad material. Also, consider investing in an air compressor and a tornador gun - not the one with the bottle attached (those do have other uses though).

Hi Tom, it was good, And did you miss these; engine bay, should have removed the center console, and plastic panels too, and carpet, bcoz it was loose and definitely there will be dirt inside, and did you brush tyres especially ( not important though bcoz it is again going to go in mud) but for detailing perspective, it can be shown. Expecting all these, in another video, thanks!

Get the pf22 foam cannon. The one you use is not even foaming you at all, just spraying diluted soap

Seth Vue I agree not much foam at all. I was disappointed with it. I’ll check that one out, thank you

Awesome detail! Just a quick tip tho--I would avoid using any included "quick detailer" products during the clay bar process IF you plan on polishing the vehicle later. The reason being is that a lot of the time these products leave behind a slight residue or film that clogs up the polishing pads faster. If possible I'd go with something that does not leave anything behind. Keep up the great work!

FireSun20 thanks for the tip! Any better lubricant you would recommend?

Tom Does Details; You may try Optima No Rinse (ONR) you dilute it 4oz to a gallon of water. You can buy it on line. It is also good for windows, and I add 2oz to my 5 gallon soap bucket for extra lubrication when hand washing. Really good stuff.

@@TomDoesDetails You can also hit it with some sort of wax and grease remover before starting to polish. It's an extra step, but it's literally just spray on and wipe off with a microfiber.
