Sorry i have another question at 0:53~1:54 Why take out the solution and put it in the oven? Eventually, we'll put it back in the funnel, shake it, and separate the layers of water, right? And 4:40 can we use rotary vacuum evaporator for hexane evaporation?? Thank you very much for your kindness

It is a factor which is used in the calculation of Unsaponifiable matter & Free Fatty Acid, given by AOAC official method.

@microchemsexperiments , I would like you to suggest you that if you don't deep knowledge then just say i am not having deep knowledge if you are answering his question properly. @patriciapt , i am telling you that what is factor 0.282 Its is nothing but molecular wt of oleic acid ( 282)/1000 where 1000 is divided to conversion of mg to gram.

We heat the extracted hexane layer in oven at 90°C for 90 mins but hexane remains in the beaker. How long should we heat it ...?

Some papers stated that titration vol should not exceed 0.1ml, if not u must repeat the test, what does it mean by this?

It means that titration volume must be greater than 0.5ml. If it is less than 0.5ml then the result will not be accurate because of the lower volume.

And also can we evaporate the extracted hexane layer on hot plate to save time ...? Will it effect the final result ...?

Drying on hot plate lead to loss of the extracted matter

Why we add neutralised ethanol to sample? Can't we directly neutralise sample?

The final residue is so yellow in colour, any suggestion so that it is easier to judge at the titration step

Pink colour will be identified easily in the titration. Yello solution should not affect on pink

How many washing have you done for the removal of KOH ...? Please guide ...

Wash till the colour remain colourless after adding phenolphthalein to the washing water.

Kasthuri kk, we are sorry for this but exactly in which portion do you face problm? Please mention with video time so that we can find the exact point. We all can see calculation clearly and there no subtitle is used in the calculation part
