This is the exact same way I feel. I loved Daxton even though ultimately, I wanted Benvi to end up together (and they did). I wish they'd explored the Daxton closure arc a bit more though.

I think the point is that it isn’t about who YOU would choose. It was ultimately about Devi and what she wanted. I think that’s awesome. But I never disliked daxton I just didn’t think they fit romantically. But they had really sweet moments. It’s what makes a GOOD love triangle. So many of them make one person a villain or heavily skew the relationships. This show gave both relationships plot and development.

But that’s the POINT. When Devi truly liked herself she understood in her heart what she always truly wanted, and it wasn’t Paxton. Just bc Paxton said what he said doesn’t mean Devi should end up with him. It means she should go for what SHE wants.

Ummm way to miss all of Devi’s growth. She DOES like herself by the end and part of liking oneself is knowing what you truly want. Which for Devi, was Ben.

I wouldn't say it was a fucked up series but like, it was VERY chaotic, cringy & Devi was all over the place, the decisions she made were crazy & somehow i loved it but hated it so much at the same time. Did I binge-watch all of season 4 the day it came out? Yes. 😂 To me, this series was so weird & Devi's character was, I can't even find the words for it, she was just so everywhere it annoyed me a lot & the decisions she made were ridiculous sometimes or a lot & like, no one I know including me, would EVER make some of the choices she made. My jaw dropped SO MANY FREAKING TIMES when she made a stupid decision or misunderstood the advice people gave her, like for example who would ask a stranger they've never talked to, to have sex with them?! Not me. And maybe Paxton was hot af, but she didn't know him at the time! Is it just me or is there someone out there who agrees with me? 😅

yes completely, ben and devi are competitive and helping each other but devi changed paxton and got into his head. He was first her crush from the start.

It was the reverse, paxton and devi didn't have an undeniable chemistry to speak of, it was just paxton being hot and nothing else, and Ben and Devi used bantering as a way to actually flirt sometimes, it gave us so much tension and was more fun, plus they had far more chemistry and could've pushed other to be better on screen if they have been given screentime together enough as a couple and not enemies to lovers to enemies again because of a cheating on devi's part you know.

@@kristenford1859 I AM DESPERATE. Throughout the series I was very torn between Paxton and Ben. Actually, underneath I was team Ben, because I realized that Paxton liked Paxton only because he was popular and so on. However, going forward and reflecting, I realized that the guy I see Devi best with is absolutely Paxton. His character has evolved so positively throughout the series. There are several reasons why I prefer it to ben. First of all I find that the relationship he has with devi is more in harmony, they have always pushed each other on and together they both made each other better. Devi was more confident, had a better self-conception, and he was more motivated with homework and generally to improve at everything, as he said at the end of season 3. The relationship with Ben, on the other hand, was based on bickering and jokes that honestly tired me in the long run. Of course, there were also moments where they helped each other (like FRIENDS DO) but they were very minimal compared to the "academic battle" between the two which made everything toxic so to speak. There's one thing I keep thinking about. Devi said at the end of season 3 that Paxton was her dream. It means that she realized that she wanted Paxton not for who he was, but for herself, let's say. And that's what stopped her in the end. BUT I saw much more in them: it may have been like this at the beginning (Devi wanted him just to become popular and not be a loser, etc.) but THEN their situation evolved into much more. I saw much more. I saw a genuine relationship in which tehey were both happy.I find their story unfinished: they broke up because Devi didn't feel up to her, not because they didn't fit well together, I mean, there was just this problem that Devi then solved... And so shouldn't love have stayed? If it was all gone WHY the season 4 kiss? In that scene, Paxton continued to look her lips, and she also said "i often think about when we broke up"... This isn't a thing that a person that moved on does. And then when they talk about the kiss and they agree on the end of the goosebumps, they hold their hands for sooo long and paxton looks at her in A ROMANTIC WAY. Frankly, I can't find the point and in my opinion at least Paxton has feelings for her, from the way he looks at her. At the end of season 3 I could have sworn he was in love with her and it can't have all gone away like this. It isn't concluded. Devi and Ben in my opinion will have a volatile relationship and theirs is more of a friendship. Team Paxton forever. My heart aches to think there won't be more scenes of the two of them together. PLEASE tell me what you think ab this. How their love vanished in this way??? They felt something for each other also in season 4, come on.
