I don't think you got gist of it. I showed that no woman is safe, regardless of her position, religion, social status, age. Even what she wears burqa,saree, western wear,literate,illetate, you see difference between each woman but all are united by the same crime committed against them.

The house is a metaphorical representation of the afterlife. All the members of the house were not only victims of the heinous act of raping but also they were murdered after they were raped. The latest member to have arrived is that little girl, who was also a victim of the same fate. The quotation from Maushi about how Arzu, the woman in Burkha (the one with the wax strip) was burnt alive, how Shruti Haasan was killed with a bottle of beer and thrown in the highway, how Neha Dhupia passed away due to the trauma that she couldn't take any further, how Kajol's throat was cut off and other details by other ladies stand as evidence to the fact that they were not only raped, but also murdered. What kicks the most is that even in the afterlife they are cornered away.

One thing I noticed and loved in this film is the mention of mental trauma. That true, its as same as a physical assault.

Little details from it-- They all are dead and are assembled at one place after death, what we call afterlife When news repoter says that whole country is filled with rage, neha turns her face and closes her eyes.. As she knows that it is all useless, people forget everything with time, candle marches, etc are just for a time period, after that even justice is not served in brutal cases. The tv goes off and pee sound produced signifying that another victim has died and needs to be occupied in this house .. Kajol said that according to reports ' hr din koi nyi ladki aayegi, kitno ko bahar rkhrnge.. 'That signifies how frequently rapes occur. That medical student signifies nirbhaya, and she is preparing for an exam which she will never give as she is dead(and her dreams too) When kajol says that don't fight after dhupbatti and maushi says there is no God here, why you are worshipping then. Arzu says nobody asked them to to stay here together, ' bhed bakriyo ki trh thuns diya.. They were raped, and killed, no consent nothing. I literally had tears when they told their stories.. That how they were raped.. Even marital rape as maushi was married when she was 12 years old. When neha said she died in trauma of rape, and maushi said you at least got time to cry, then she says that.. If I didn't bleed that doesn't means I was not in pain.. That signifies how traumatic it can be. Kajol in end says that we were adjusting in between those demons, it's easier to stay in this afterlife than that.. When the small girl entered, each one of them was shocked as they were not able to believe that situation is so worse now, that even a little girl was not spared from those demons, they also felt guilty that how they were fighting to send the girl away, without knowing that she is so small. Someone is deaf, someone is wearing shorts, someone is in burqa and saree, some are educated, some are illiterate, all from different religions, Rape is irrespective of these things

As a person sorrounded by mother, aunts, sisters, wife and daughters..... tears flow from eyes each time I watch this short film As a MALE, my head hangs in shame to read the statistics and digest the reality. For once, I found even KORBIN was intense while watching the story unfold and i feel he had no idea about the concluding part.

And the woman wasn't making fun when she said that the other one was showing off her thighs . It's symbolic that no woman is safe irrespective of age, class, wealth, religion, dressing sense whether fully covered or not.. etc.

They were showing women who died after being raped. The last one was just a child. They were not alive but dead. That is why the old woman told the one studying, why are you studying when you can't even go for the exam.

In India, the victim gets the highest backlash as compared to the rapist. People blame women's dress, independent mindset, education, nature. If the clothes were responsible for the rape, then the woman in the burqa would not be a victim. Had independent mindset been responsible for rape, uneducated domestic women would not have become victims. If the nature and way of talking were responsible then the deaf girl would not have become a victim. If going out was responsible, women wouldn't have raped by their own husbands in their own homes. Finally the entry of the little girl into the room is proof that even a small child is not as safe as a woman. We need to understand that nothing is responsible for rape except a rapist mindset.

It's just not men doing to women. As Korbin rightly said it also shows how women were bickering on, judging each other... It happens everywhere and with everyone. What we need to realise is its time we put a stop to this not only with women but with everyone, it has to be stopped by not only men but by everyone. Looking down upon, disregarding someone's choices by belittling, dominating each other and above all being selfish or self centered... All mean the same... assaulting someone mentally. And more horrid is when you physically assault someone knowing they can't punch you back....

So they were struck up in a limbo where they could not get out of it. Each time it happens repeats the new person joins. And at the end it was a small girl that had gone through the same. People are bashing them left and right just because they didn't understand one point. Nobody is a superhuman. There could be multiple reasons why they did not get it completely at first. And I think Rick got it, only Korbin misunderstood that the women were not dead. All I want to say is, just tell them where they went wrong, Instead of calling them stupid.

Often a girl who mocks societal taboos is mistaken for inviting evil. There was a movie called Mirch Masala, in the mid 80s I guess, where a woman is teased, chased and finally, when she resorts to women for shelter, the women accuse her of being beautiful. To that, Sonbai, the protagonist raises her protest, questioning the women, the problem lies in my beauty, not his brains? Sadly, almost 35 yrs on, and nothing changed, nothing seems to be changing

The little girl appearing at the end actually represents the little girl raped and murdered recently in Bengal, also many other little girls who are raped and murdered in India. You need to do a little background study to understand the film entirely. All the characters portrayed here represent real life women who are raped, assaulted and murdered at various times in India. Also you missed the point that the television works here like a medium that sends the souls of the tortured to this place.

Was hoping in the end you guys would read the synopsis to get the story of this short film, maybe a rewatch would make more sense!
