bro paxton tries to make himself better for davi because he knows how good she is. he asks if she’s okay, he goes out of his way to help, he makes sure she is safe. ben did one nice thing after years of being a jerk. team paxton all the way. i’m so happy they ended up together. i don’t even understand how ben was an option.

@@aniketjaiswal3147 I don't understand what state of maturity considers Paxton a jerk and not Ben? Like they're 15-16 year olds. And Paxton, my God, that kid's worse enemy is his own looks. The society is so goddamn judgmental that they immediately considers nothing more than his face and assume that he is not anything more than his face as well. His entire personality is judged because he is good looking, like every other stupid silly typical rom-coms people see. But this show is just not that, it is much more relatable and this is why Paxton has a character which is in development. It has developed a lot more and he has become an extremely good person then he was in the beginning of the season where he was much more of a superficial person surrounded by the judgemental people who does not acknowledge anything more than his awesome looks. Ben on the other hand has been a jerk to Devi since a long time, called her unapologetically offensive names and he has only suffered one heart break. Paxton suffered not only a heart break, but because of his inability to admit to his own emotions it also cost him his career and his college. Even his parents is not supportive and often does not know what he wants then how can the audience be any different? Even his parents considered as him nothing more than a good looking guy in school. Ben has been an Obnoxious Hobbit as Fabiola says, and that's true. He also tries to kiss Devi when he was already in a relationship, even if you guys will not consider that being extremely hypocritical, but it was a broad ended cheating.

Ok the thing I noticed with them is how happy Paxton is when he’s with her. She always makes him laugh and she always believes in him. We saw that when he’s just with his friends, all he does is drink and do dumb shit and play video games (like the scenes with Trent and the fireworks) and when Devi abandons him at the relay when he wanted to study with her, he gets all drugged up with Trent. With her he has actual ambitions and goals in life and does meaningful stuff. If she hadn’t pushed him to do the extra credit project, then he wouldn’t have found out more about his grandpa and Japanese heritage. And at the end, I don’t think he went to Devi because she improved his grades, I think he realized how much she improves and enriches his life and he loves spending time with her and he just can’t let her go. Like how he says studying is less boring with her, he just likes being with her and I think that’s so sweet. Team Paxton all the way 🥰🥰

thank you, couldnt have said it any better. people also defend ben by saying he drove her all the way to be able to scatter her fathers ashes, but i feel like people are missing all the times devi has been in embarrassing situations that paxton has saved her from MULTIPLE times and all the times that he was there for her when she was upset and down. people really arent giving paxton any credit. hes trying hard for her, so much that he put on a suit and went to find her at the dance. his embarrassment of them going public after everything thats happened is valid and reasonable. i would have done the same. so the fact that he literally held her hand in front of all his friends took a lot of courage and i definitely think this was a turning point for him. i cant wait to see all the character development in season 3

You really said everything that needed to be said, I 100% agree. He was always there for her and she was there for him- they argued but liked eachother too much to stay apart. They had such sweet moments and all I can rlly think of to support bevi is him driving to Malibu. Apart from that they just bickered. I think they’re better as friends and daxton are endgame ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I've been on Paxton's side since the beginning. It's obvious that Devi really liked Paxton and the only reason she leanes onto Ben was because she thought Paxton didn't like her like that, and she was confused and all. Paxton had amazing character development and chose to become better for himself and Devi. Even when he was angry with her he still comforted her, fighting through the hurt because he really liked her. I have so much to say but regardless they make so much sense to me, and at this point I think it might even be love because they just have this bond and they both genuinely have a good time with each other.

Yo I just noticed something. On s1 Paxton said “who cares about what people think” because of Devi wearing her sari and celebrating her cultural holiday, yet he does, lol. He’s the one that wanted to be with her the first time around but didn’t want to be public about it, and then when they were hooking up again he wanted to keep it a secret because he didn’t want people judging him for liking her again, lol like he’s the one that cares about what people think. Now that they’re officially together I guess we’ll see if he’s going to keep caring about how others perceive him and his relationship with Devi

I think it was more of him being insecure. He felt like he wasn't smart enough for her. Also Devi's mom and everyone just treated him like a Dumbo and everyone cared more about him as an object rather than a person.

I don't disagree but he did have huge character development. May we also Remeber about he didn't mind being with Devi until she cheated on him. She pushes him to be better and he gets her in way I don't think Ben ever will. Like whenever she lashes out he listens and they talk whenever she goes off the rails with Ben he doesn't know how to handle it. Paxton and devi have a lot of growth ahead and aren't ready for a relationship now, but I do firmly believe that they should be endgame

I think they were so focused on Devi and how she shouldn't accept to secretly hook up with Paxton but he was right, how would he be with her again after Devi humilliated him. this edit is absolutely amazing. it really shows paxton’s amazing character development throughout the show. like in the beginning how kind of jerky he was, but he slowly tried to be better for devi. and out of his whole friend group he was always so mature. and making sure devi was ok the entire show really had me at team paxton since the beginning. they’re endgame for me.

I know it’s not a good thing to date 2 people at once but i think it was half a good thing because devi learned from it and she didn’t want to choose because she doesn’t know what she wants but she wanted to make sure she made the right choice/decision which is why the pro’s and con’s was made. I’d say Paxton is a good choice because he goes to her house more than ben to check on her and without Devi, Paxton would still be the same like his friends. Devi made him into a better person. I’m guessing Devi is the only person from his school who appreciates his sister for the way she is and Devi doesn’t see anything wrong with that. Devi is the only person that Paxton ever gotten so close to and he praised her and he change his ways for her and himself. Ugh i like this love story. I don’t like ben that much for Devi. He liked Devi but he was too busy with what he does to even noticed what’s going on with Devi’s life so in the dance scene ben says “it’s always been Paxton”. Paxton and devi solve their problems with each other and ben is too stubborn to fix the problem instead he dates another person which narrows he chances with devi. 🤔🧐

PAXTON ALLLL FUCKING WAYYYYY!!!! Like literally, they bring out the best in each other and sure they have their up and downs, but that’s what makes them more beautiful with one another. If you know what I mean, and you guys are saying that “Paxton was embarrassed of her, so he wanted to keep a secret”. But that wasn’t the issue at all!! If you guys remember clearly, he didn’t want to date her out in the open cause what she did the first time. She two-timed him, basically cheating on him!!!! He didn’t want people calling him an idiot for dating her again. Plus, Ben isn’t right for Devi, they got more of a sister and brother chemistry going on. If he breaks Anesas heart just cause “ he realized his feelings for Devi” (which he didn’t it’s just jealousy because he’s just mad that Devi ACTUALLY DID liked Paxton allll along in a way. So he’ll prolly realize that it was jealousy and not because he liked her or anything once he does something stupid in season 3) I’ll be so fucking mad cause Anesa is just such a beautiful and sweet girl, and she the ONE for Ben and that’s that.
