This is a short but intense and interesting section of the Bruce Trail. There are steep stairs and steep rocky sections, as well as ropes to help climb the steepest and most open section.
This hike is 2 km long (one way) and a total ascent or descent of about 150 m. About 30m of this elevation change is over 1.5 km along the top of the escarpment, while the remaining 120 m elevation change is over 500 m of distance.
There is also a 1.2 km (return) side trail that leads to an old lime kiln, but I didn't go on that trail on this visit.
There is no parking on Forks of the Credit Road at the base of the hike, so if you hike down, you probably have to hike back up again unless you continue along the Bruce Trail to Forks of the Credit Provincial Park or Belfountain Conservation Area.
Drone video is taken responsibly in an area where flying a drone is allowed. I am a licensed drone pilot.
If you would like more information about the Bruce Trail, I have a video called "5 Amazing Things about the Bruce Trail." It has information about what the Bruce Trail is, what to expect on the trails, how to find out where to hike and park, and what work the Bruce Trail Conservancy does. This video can be found here: • 5 Amazing Things about...
I also have a video with photos set to music about my journey hiking the entire 900 km Bruce Trail. "I Walked the Bruce Trail" can be found here: • I Walked the Bruce Trail
