Hi, what a lovely thing! But am I seeing this right, that the euro rack module isn’t in place of the standalone unit, but an additional extension of it?

No. The Eurorack module and the standalone unit have the same core functionality and operate alone. The differences are in the interface and support for MIDI (standalone) vs V/Oct CV (Eurorack module).
