Started keto/carnivore about 18 months ago due to cancer diagnosis stage 1B ovarian cancer. Had ovaries removed but declined 6mos of chemotherapy. I’ve lost 30lbs, my body composition has drastically changed to lean muscle and strength! Cancer has not come back! I eat red meat daily and lots of eggs, I still like salad with extra blue cheese! Doctor said cancer would return and it has not! I’m 67 and I look ten years younger! Hopefully, I stay this way!

I'm 60 yrs old. I dropped 53#. I am 5'11" and I started at 208#'s and am currently at 157#. I feel amazing and started sprinting, swimming open water every morning and sailing. I have the energy of a 20 year old. I save money on groceries because I don't have rotting vegetables in my refrigerator anymore. I eat one meal a day with a small protein snack later in the day. I love not having to cook or use multiple pans to cook in. I use an air fryer. This morning I had fatty lamb chops for breakfast and some bacon. Dinner is sausages and eggs. Love my free time, not having to cook or clean the kitchen. Grocery shopping is a breeze --- only going to the meat department. Voila!

Anybody who hasn't TRIED a total carnivore diet cannot possibly understand the TOTAL switch off for addictions to other foods that they currently think they cannot do without. The internal mental freedom, increase in energy, mental clarity, mental stability and a million different other things cannot be experienced by a half way house. Once you TRY IT and you break through to the peace in your body you will understand. While you are playing on the edge adding a bit of this and that you'll never totally understand what you're missing. At the point where peace and energy descend... There is NO sense of restriction, no loss, only FREEDOM and health in a way that no other person or writing could have prepared you for. Can you risk 30 days to find out..? Can you go for 90days?... Is that all can take to turn your tanker round? "oh, you can't live like that forever.." they say... You know what, I'm not... I'm living ONE day at a time to the MAX... and one more and one more. The PEACE is soooo valuable, I dont know whether I ever want to give it up for how I felt before. Sceptical?? Go on, I dare you, try it, properly, and find out for yourself, 30 or 90 days and write below what happens for you. 👌👍💪💪

Meat and animal fats have everything your body needs and nothing your body doesn’t need. Your body does not need plant toxins, pesticides, sugars, fiber, carbs that act like drugs in the body with withdrawal symptoms that affect mood and brain fog, feeds mold, feeds bad bacteria, and is hard on the digestive system. This diet alone got rid of symptoms I was having from mold toxicity, Sibo, pmdd, cptsd, brain fog/fatigue, stress, inflammation, chronic pain, acid reflux, and I lost weight - all in one month. Treatments for these costs thousands and ongoing and weren’t even working! All managed within a month from carnivore. I am spending less money on groceries by getting grass fed beef and wild caught fish too. The downside - the shame and invalidation others give me. Thank you for this podcast - there is so much potential for this to help those who are suffering.

Hi. Amazing results 👏...but just one question. How do you maintain the calorie intake when on carnivore diet? I looked at this and I'd have to eat a lot of meat every day to get to 2000kcal...olive oil perhaps?
@somethingelse9535
@somethingelse9535 Ай бұрын
@@igorgasperec Not really. Dinner is a steak and mince (1 lb total). For breakfast bacon, 5 eggs and a sausage. That's about 1800 cal. The rest is butter, eat several pieces a day. Easily pass the 2,000 cal mark.
@EmilyNeumaier
@EmilyNeumaier Ай бұрын
@@igorgasperecyou don’t need to count calories on this diet or eat that much. Your body tells you when it’s hungry and when it’s full, not when it needs another carb fix from blood sugar lowering. Protein and fats are high calorie, it doesn’t take much anyways. I can just eat a can of sardines and beef with ghee, butter, tallow a day and weight lift. EVOO in the morning and at night or throughout the day. But my body can tolerate these things, some may need to be more restrictive for the first month or they may need to eat a ton at first. Some days I need to eat more, whether protein for fullness or fat for energy or salt/potassium chloride for focus. You learn to listen to your body not count calories.

In fact I walk 5,000 steps or more a day. I'm sticking with my high fat diet and plan to get my arteries checked again in January 2025. The trigs to hdl ratio (1 :1 for you) is actually just a proxy measure of insulin sensitivety and over-all metabolic health .Your cac score of 305 shows an amount of Calcified/hard plaque which means the Atherosclerotic process has begun already ,and a ct Angiogram would be needed to see if you have any soft plaque ,as well . I just think its not very prudent to interpret your 1:1 as whats in your comment, when you already have some plaque in your arteries .

I was 265lbs about 2 years ago, I got down to 158lbs by eating low carb/only fish diet. I only ate 1200-1400 cals a day. I started carnivore because I was always hungry, I was working out so much but didn't get that BODY I was pushing for. I've been carnivore about 3 months now, I'm back up to 175-180 lbs but my body is much smaller and lean than it was at 158lbs. I know it might be hard to believe, I still lowkey cry every time I weigh myself but then I look in the mirror and immediately don't care anymore lol. My breasts have gotten bigger as well. In addition all my other issues: Period pain, headaches, anxiety, acne, cellulite, thinning hair, soreness, and fatigue has all decreased or completely gone away. I'm not sure where all the weight is going, I check my tummy in 2 different spots every week, and it stays the same or it goes down. My clothes are looser. I really wish it was easier/cheaper to get a dexa scan or MRI and find a doctor that would actually support me and show me what's going on. Regardless, Im so happy I stumbled upon this.

For 2 years I believed I would shrink equally all over as I lost weight but I now realize that is not the case. While other fat goes away belly fat is here to stay, at least for me it is. They put some grains, wheat mostly worth few cents and charged $2.49 per box. I saw the scam right away. Stoped eating but my ex ate more and more because he got addicted, now I know. I was in my twenties when Atkins came out and I remember thinking those people were nuts and they were going to kill themselves…as I smugly shopped for my organically grown veggies and fake fats and tons of whole grains and busting my a$$ in the gym at the crack of dawn, consequently destroying my adrenals. I was such a jerk in my own mind, lol! I roll my eyes at myself now for being so close minded. I’m a happy carnivore now and fixing all the damage I did eating that way. It’s been life changing, social awkwardness and all. I can literally feel my brain flood me with happy chemicals every time I savor bacon fat and beef fat, and meat of any kind. It’s crazy, the instant bio-feedback. I hope my grandchildren learn sooner than I did.

As a WFPB vegan, I was expecting to hate this guy. I anticipated him to be mocking the 'soy boys' and railing against the toxins in legumes. I was WFPB for 25 years. In 2015 my gut stopped being happy and then stoped working. For next 9 months got worse and worse. I lost weight, my hair, my skin got weird hue like yellowish/gray, I lost a lot of muscles, my skin was paper thin and dry. My nightmare was my sleepless nights because of pain and trips to the loo till 3-4 am. My doctor was clueless because my tests were perfect so she decided it’s cancer. My age was 65… . I got upset and declared I didn’t have cancer. Started to search and talk to people. In short, one day I bought lots of pork hogs and feet in my local butcher store, I got like 4 kg put in my oven for 6 or 8 h on low heat and it saved my life. I didn’t know about carnivore or eating raw ( almost) beef but I learned. Now I’m carnivore with occasional local fruit and sauerkraut. My life is great and my doctor’s office calls me but I don’t have any need to go and see her. I’m healthy and strong and in few days I will celebrate my 73 year of life! I walk between 5-8 km a day, half of it barefoot and/or with weights. Meat heals!

He is so right about addiction to food, but I cannot help believe that 14% of the population is addicted to food. It must be higher. Addicted personalities jump from one addiction to another, and bounce around. It can be booze, cigarettes, sex, drugs, money, gambling, etc. Instant self gratification is the major issue, and can that be beat? It hides and rules most people's lives. Most people lack discipline and so to eat carnivore for a month, I would have to be locked up.

Important to remember where Dr Baker started from. He is an athletic beast. Don’t expect his results unless you are starting from the same place. Health is subjective. High protein low carb is the best diet for humans. Subjectively we’re all starting to from a different place and we each have different goals to achieve. I personally am Ketovoire. Mostly carnivore but with small amounts of vegetable as a side. Dr Baker rocks for getting his message out and saving lives and giving more people longevity of life!!

I need my avocado's macadamia/pistachio nuts and MCT oils. Also I think adding fiber has its benefits too. Fiber makes butyric acid.

Eat 20-50 percent protein as meat beef with fat give satiety and secret GLp1 to feel full. 25 percent of protein used to digest the protein as energy.Meat will be digested and absorbed before reaching the colon so microbiome is not involved. So we don’t need prebiotics and probiotics and fermentation in the colon.Only 4 percent as human can digest fibres so we need microbiome to digest vegetables and fibres. If suffering from IBS used to fast 1-2 days then eat little clean mince meat and one cooked potato and one tomato.( my personal story), then after years ate kabab and backed chicken in Tanoor. We are animals cells we needs animal protein,American diet is rubbish. People on continuum , eat meat for3 months to see if it works ?

What I've been advised to do is to start with what I can afford. Ground beef, eggs, chicken, pork, lamb. Search out Manager's Specials in the meat department - I've seen plenty of steaks marked down. Some are even eating the ground beef sold in the plastic chubs and hotdogs from Walmart which is all they can afford, and still getting results. Imo we all gotta start somewhere. We can always tweak as we go along. The main thing is to cut the processed as much as possible and no sugar, flour, snack stuff, fruits or veggies

Hello, here some tips, one don’t wait start now! It will take your body a little time to adjust to the new diet, you will most likely get diarrhea a few times in the first few weeks (normal) you want to eat high fat, stay away from lean meats for the first few months. Eat butter and I mean eat it like it’s meat, when you eat, make sure to eat until your full. Don’t worry about amounts just eat till feel like you don’t want another bite, also make sure to use salt! I recommend Redmond salt. Make sure you intake water and Electrolytes thru out the day but not to the point your urine is clear, yellow to medium yellow is what I shot for. The next important item is get yourself some Lugos Iodine this is a must I use 5% daily. The next big item for you to be aware of is that you will begin to dump Oxalates from your body, it will make you feel like total crap, and I mean bad on some days! To deal with this issue, you will need to slow the dumping down, so a small piece of bitter chocolate or better a small glass of milk or a cup of black tea will help slow it down which will lessen the negative effects. Look up a video by Sally Norton on Oxalates which will explain why it’s happening and how plants have caused most of your problems. I would also recommend fasting this will allow your body to repair and replenish your mitochondria which is important for healing, this will happen naturally when you don’t feel hungry anymore (I only eat once a day now, it’s not a choice it’s what my body wants) this varies by the person and the illness, so it’s not a one size fits all. You will find in a very short time much of your symptoms will start to reverse you need to give it time. All of my previous health issues have completely reversed including but not limited to PTSD, I am 58, and I have energy of 28 year old, with everything that goes with feeling 28! and I feel fantastic everyday remember it just improves, be patient give your body time to heal! I will NEVER go back to eating the propaganda food diet, we need meat and eggs and butter and little else to have a good healthy life! Best of luck!

I don't care if I lose weight, at all! Just get my digestive system to digest and assimilate food and give me normal and regular bowel movements. I've been diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFIDS), Fibromyalgia, Ankylosing Spondylitis, IBS, Hiatal Hernia, Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Type2 Diabetes, Depression, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure (after I had a total hysterectomy), arthritis, etc. If I listed symptoms it would take a hundred words, at least. At 76 I've been bedridden more than active and, still, my doctors have done exploratory surgeries, removed my gallbladder, treated my painful joints with meds...right...I won't bore you further with a list of meds I've taken over the years. The $$$ I've spent, my insurance has spent on tests and doctor visits to specialists, etc. 😮😢😢😢 I'll try this. Where do I get the best start/guidance??
