Hey man…I can count the number of times I’ve commented on anyone’s KZfaq video on my left hand which is missing two fingers. The reason being is that it’s a waste of my time. This being one of the few exceptions to write you a long winded thank you. Not just for this video but for all of them. You are on point bro. You saved me a lot of money and pain over the years for real. Your tutorials are the easiest to grasp. So thanks for explaining it so that a dumb rough neck like me could understand it enough to get by. It really means a lot to me. Sincerely-G.

Warped brake rotors can cause vibration also. If you notice a pulsating feeling or a shake when you brake, try getting your rotors turned, or new rotors.

Thank God for this video. A while ago the tire hit a pothole. The car began to shake. My tire almost blew up on me this morning. A woman told me that the tire was shaking. After feeling the tire imbalance, it was true there was damage. Thankfully, the tire shop had a quality replacement tire available.

I've had a vibration issue on my 05 TSX for half a year and it doesn't help diagnosing when multiple suspension components are also worn out, haha. Thanks to your video, I have now narrowed it down to the CV axles, they're the original ones. I recommend to stay away from Duralast axles if you have a Honda, vibrations will persist. Acura has stopped selling remanufactured axles for the first generation TSX. I'm going to buy my axles from insane shafts.

A sticking brake caliper will also cause serious vibration issues especially in the front. A good way to check is to see if one of your wheels is hot to the touch. If it is then that's your problem. You will also most likely need new pads as one side will be worn down more than the other.

I went to do alignment at Jupiter Chevrolet Dealer in Dallas after some work done on the suspension. Since I balanced the new tires just w/Harbor Freight Balancer, I ordered balancing as well, hoping on their good equipment. But when I checked the torques on wheels and drive axle, I was amazed to see, that the lug nuts on rear wheels are coming out by hand. I always check the torques after any shop, since they never do it to specs (or undertorque or overtorque), but I've never seen the lug nuts to be left so loose. Most likely after I did the rear suspension part, I didn't torque the rear wheels, thinking I'll do everything after the front suspension part. After the front suspension I decided to check AC, replaced many parts there, installed a new radiator, so it was a lot, and I didn't check the rear wheels after all that, thinking if the cover plates are there, I torqued them. It was my mistake most likely, but then it comes that the wheels (at least rear) were never taken off, bcs how an expert fm Dealer could not to tighten wheels on the rear at all, if he removed them to put on the machine and put them back. So I'm in doubts about all that, and try to determine if the wheels were balanced or not with the methods described in this film. Thank you, it was very informative.

I had a mystery vibration on my 04 Lesabre. Lot of folks complained about it and it was a common complaint. I even read people saying the lower control arms being aluminum made the wheels sensitive to how tight the lugs were (yeah okay now they were just reaching). So I went on a quest to find out the cause. I had already eliminated the bad tranny mount jerk that is common but every so often I would still feel it happen if braking then quickly accelerating. This told me it had something to do with that front mount. What I discovered was it was one of the few cars that got powered by a 3800 Series II and a 4T65E trans that didn't have top torque mounts. Sorry to say but the lower one just isn't enough to keep the engine from rolling back. This is also causes a vibration to be transmitted back to the driver and passenger along with an occasional jerk. How to eliminate the problem is easy but requires quite a bit of work and a trip to a local junk yard. First you will need the top mount bracket from a Impala the one that mounts to the driver side and bolt it to the same spot on the head. Next you need one of the Y mounts too don't matter the car they are all the same. Then you will need the bracket in front of the radiator from an 00 to 02 Olds Intrigue. This bracket was made slightly different and actually curves downward. You need to remove the lower portion of it then cut an access hole in the rad bar on the Lesabre then take your intrigue mount and drop it in front of the fans with the bulk facing the engine. The Y needs to be positioned pointing down towards the rad to clear the rad bar. Bolt everything together and bring it into alignment. This made a huge improvement but a little fab work is required. GM should have included the top mounts on the Lesabre instead of depending on a single crappy designed mount to support it. This still allows the engine to roll slightly back with greater ease thus no vibes or jerks are felt by the occupants. Sorry for the long winded explanation but a lot of people have this vibration in the Lesabre and would benefit greatly from the info. Good video BTW.

4:34 "I recommend replacing both front cv shafts", do you have any advice about aftermarket CV axles? Genuine parts for my vehicle run $550-$650 for one axle, but I've heard various comments and advice that aftermarket CV axles are hit or miss. I've read one guy say they skimp on grease, another one mentioned Volkswagon having a TSB on aftermarket axles causing vibration issues. I'm looking at these SurTrack axles there's not much reviews for my vehicle but that brand on other vehicles seems to have favorable ratings on Amazon. What's your take on aftermarket axles?

@@H.pylori I guess the fact that it goes away at higher speeds is what points towards a tire problem and if it doesn't go away at higher speeds then must look at suspension components like maybe axle or control arm bushings

I had a problem with my vibration. Had them balanced etc.Didn't solve my problem. Thought maybe wheel bearings etc. Than I decided to take a known good tire from my other vehicle and installed them one my car, a 2010 toyota camry se. I took it for a test drive on the highway until till the vibration finally went away. I found the suspect tire. Bought a replacement tire. And installed it. Problem went away. Checked the suspect removed bad tire and visually from the outside it looked great. However when inspecting the inside part of the tire saw a noticeable lump on the tire. From the outside it looked great in that spot. Anyways problem fixed.

I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey (123K miles) has steering vibrating severely at 60-75 mpg. I recently replaced all four shocks, the backward lower control arm bushing (they were cracked), but the steering is still vibrating especially in high speed. All four tires are still new, and today I rotated the tires, but the vibration still would not go away. What do you think I should go after next? The ball joints seem to be good, although the lower ball joints have some leaky grease but it shouldn't be the main suspect for continuous vibration, right?

My new used crossover use to shake when ever I hit around 90km, plus mine would pull hard to the left, I had 2 alignments done and it didn’t help. It ended up being the cheap tires that mine came with because soon as I dove the car with the new Goodyear’s it drove like a new car. Smoother, quieter, no shake or pulling. Never go the cheap route when buying tires is what I learned lol.

My car is vibrating horribly from 65 to about 80. Am I right to assume that it is not the tires since this has been happening for years even before and after rotating the tires and having them balanced? If I get it up over 80 it seems to not vibrate as much so there is some kind of resonance where it's peaking at about 70 mph. I'm worried something is rubbing or loose and that means it will wear down and become worse. I just took it to Goodyear and told them but I doubt they even looked at it. The rotated the tires (supposedly but when I called back the lady said they only BALANCED them even though I told them the day I took it in I needed them rotated AND balanced and the pulling to the right fixed AND the vibrating IF POSSIBLE). So, instead of taking it in to goodyear AGAIN tomorrow and not having my car, I thought to avail myself of the net and see if I could maybe diagnose it or a range it could be. Some axle bent or something loose maybe? It still vibrates lower than 70 just not to where it feels the car is about to literally fall apart. It's a Buick LeSabre 2004. Anyway, thanks.

I can't check anything due to physical issues but maybe I will take it to a transmission shop or something. Thanks for the tip.

Did you ever find out what it was? My car drives fine except between 50-70 when it shakes. Drives real smooth over 70 though.

nope. But this place (Ford dealership) said they fixed it but what they did was over inflate my tires w/o telling me. they were 40 lb instead of 33. It did fix the vibration say by 65% or so but there's something off somewhere so I just had the oil place put the pressure back to 33 and luckily, I almost never have to drive over 30. :)

look around the edges of your rim, they could be bent. i've had bent rims before and like you said, it's usually 65-80 where they seem the worst. they'll still vibrate over 80mph but it's less noticeable

I just had mine tire rotate and balanced last month but still the vibration doesn't stops when i hit 70 miles/hr. Few months back i saw that few grease was leaking from my passenger side wheel. Does this looks like my CV axle needs to be replaced? But i don't hear any clicking noise when i make a turn.

I got new wheels and tires installed. They said they aligned and balanced them but my steering wheel still shakes even the passenger can feel it. Sometimes it doesn’t shake though. Should I go to another place to get them balanced for sure or replace the cv bars?

My car seems to shake at low speeds right up to about 60mph then you can't feel it. My passenger could feel it too, so it's not just through the steering wheel. Any ideas please? I had a quick look underneath and I think I could see grease somewhere near the front drivers side wheel. Don't know if that's related. I need to have a good look. Your help would be much appreciated thanks

Hi there I have a 2003 Nissan sentra my car got stuck in the mud and it shakes when driving over 50 miles an hour. I cleaned everything off and balanced the wheels could it be the hub? When I was stuck I turned the wheel and heard a pop.

What about steering wheel vibration at 35-40 MPH on grooved pavement that is being prepped for paving? My car has new tires, alignment, drives very smooth on highway, however when the conditions I explained above come up, my steering wheel vibrates and it feels like Tires are out of balance.

HELP! I have new tires, I had the wheels balanced again and I replaced the cv axles (both). Some of the shaking went away and I can drive about 10 mph faster but above 70 the car shakes too much. The steering wheel does not shake. It's just the front end. Do you happen to have any other ideas of what it might be? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2006 Impala. My steering wheel doesn't vibrate but when driving on the highway up to 60 - 70 mph my passenger seat trembles a bit, i would get off and feel what i may assume is my muffler moving a bit so i hit the emergency brakes and release and the trembling stops, i went to a muffler shop and they said all is good that it might be the motor supports so i switch those but the problem persists.... I know I might need an alignment since my tires are getting eaten up, and my wheel carriages need maintenance as well as new brakes. Could that be the problem or any other ideas.
